Ive got a couple of magazines of these from an auction lot and am curious about trying them. I ejected a couple of blades and they were gummed up from the oil that was on them but no rust. Anyone ever try them ? I know since there are no holes in the blade that they cant be used in a hydro-magic razor. Anyone know if these are stainless or CS blades ?

I have tried several of the old blades like that. I have had zero luck with them myself. I say give them a shot. It never hurts too much to try vintage blades.

What is the worst thing that can happen? Oh wait, you could skin yourself alive and catch the Black Plague, but I'm sure that won't happen.

I know this hasn't been updated in a while, but I'm wondering about others' experience with these and other older injector blades. I've found the few that I've tried to be rough.

SOTD July 6th (No shave pic)
Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap Schick Injector J1 Vintage Eversharp carbon /Personna(3) Yaqi Red Marble Tuxedo (28mm, Destroyer Class) Jeeves of Hudson Street Bay Rum Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill
I gave into peer pressure this morning and tried a vintage Eversharp carbon steel Injector blade in my J1. The result? Tuggy. Quickly replaced it with the twice used Personna blade that I had in the J1 to start with and proceed to have a very nice smooth shave. I'm going to try to touch this blade up a little on the 1 Micron lapping film and see how it does afterward.

I'm not giving up on it yet though. I think if I hone it a little or maybe even strop it on some paste it may become more comfortable. It did shave, it just wasn't as sharp as I needed it to be.
