Hello, Has I've told you, I'm going to scent a cake of Williams. Just wondering what would you suggest to do it. Grate it, melt it, add some drops of EO (by the way, how many do you think re needed?) and puting it on a case? Other ways of doing it. How do you do it? Thread open Now let's hear from you specialists.

I shredded a puck with a small grater, then heated the shreds in the microwave with a small amount of water and cologne in an empty soap container. Now I have a scented solid mass in the container.

How long did you heat for? I always heard Tallow did not like the microwave... I have heard or using really hot water to make a kinda of soap soup then let it dry and harden.

I need to pick up a grater. I am going to make a modern Williams rose shave stick. After that I might try a few other things.

Once I have two cakes I'm going to experiment on one this way: - grate the cake to a pan; - add enough water to make soap bits start to stick/bind; - take to low fire on stove so that water evaporates and then add a few drops of EO (in this stage you can also add some more vegetable glycerin); - Once it turn into a paste pour in a container (in mya case an IKEA box).
And that's it. Let's see how it works.

No. I just add about three drops. The scent last about the next two-three uses of the soap. This can make some nice combos like rose - lemongrass.

Also if you heat your water then add it to your gated soap it will thicken up on its own with no more heat required. Let me know how you make out.

I'll let you know
