The "frame" on any safety razor is the head assembly.

The "frame" on any safety razor is the head assembly. Absolutely! Remove the handle and you are left with a metal chunk that you load the blade into - the blade frame. Those great instructions really show all the stuff you do with the 'frame'. The handle just is an addition to the frame to make it comfortable to use. The term started off early and applied to the German hoe razors. The Kampfe Stars for sure, and then naturally into the Gems, the Griffon lineup, ER. I think the DE world took some of the technical language in a different direction though. note - that razor is probably mid 20's not 30's. Ya?

Got ya! I'm always learning something on here. I'd like to put a framed ad or two like that on the wall of my shave den.

No Sir, not yet.
Summer gets busy for us all and I'll worry about building scales for my straights and interior decorating when the snow flies. I"m gonna put up a shadow box or two for some of my "retired" razors this winter too. Any suggestions?
Unless you've seen a great deal I should be aware of...smile.
