Wed 2nd May Omega 11126 boar Blue`s Soap Ever Ready " Jewel " Gem S/S Coated [ 1 ] Tabac A/S Lotion A good Shave with a Vintage SE is very satisfying as it seems to take more concentration on technique ,than that required when using an AC/SE Razor. With a fresh blade and an abundance of slick lather from this cheap little soap, I was pleased that my care and no-rush technique was rewarded by an "Up There Finish" from this Classic Razor. Always love reading your post. Beautiful set up.

Yesterdays Tabac Tuesday shave with a very very nice razor. I will say from the start that this was on of the high class shaves. The Gem Jr. Bar is one of my favorites and this razor is one of the best shaving I have. Second shave with this one and a 3 day ole PAL. It just does not get any better. The Tabac shave stick did an impressive job with the brush from GarnerPW. I am still loving the Clubman Musk with the Tabac scent. This was a great start to the work day.

Greetings Thursday 3rd May 2018 Prep: Shower Razor: Le Touriste Blade: Le Touriste Brush: TurnNshave Quarter Moon Soap: Vintage Culmark ? Aftershave: Astral Cream (soft) EDP: Miller Harris Poirier d'un Soir This soap was in an old Wade shaving scuttle probably 1960's, I'm guessing at Culmark simply as most of them were, I am pretty sure it is tallow but it has that old musty tallow soap smell to it where an old soap has been kept confined for years, I don't think it is rancid. I gave away the scuttle and I'm unsure if I'll bin the soap as it does perform superbly, common sense says ditch it! Regards Dick.

Pre: Warm water face wash Brush: Vulfix 404 Badger/Boar Soap: CellaPre: Warm water face wash Brush: Vulfix 404 Badger/Boar Soap: Cella Razor: Colonial Brass General Blade: Kai Pink Post: Warm then Cold water rinse, Cella ASL The Kai Pink performed perfectly well in the General, not bad blades at all. The 404 is coming into its own now and is becoming a pleasure to use, nice backbone, good exfoliation without discomfort, a decent brush for a decent price. Cella soap and splash, great staples, can't say any fairer. Happy Shaving one and all.

Thursday's ShaveProraso Pre Shave Proraso Sandalwood Jayaruh #274 Boar Pal Injecto-Matic Schick Proline B20 CWR Thayer's Lemon WH Granddad's AS I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Proraso Sandalwood Shaving Cream face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #274 boar brush. I did two passes with the Pal Injecto-Matic with a Schick Proline B20 blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Granddad's AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Huge thanks to Cris Cullen for making this splash for the #brobox18 group. Matches perfectly with the soap from Chad Irish. Such a great shave today, though I used too much pressure on my neck and I have some burn and bumps on a rather large section of my neck. Other than that it was great.

Thur 3rd May Omega 11137 boar Lea Classic soap Ever Ready 1914 - 12 tooth version Gem S/S [ 2 ] Lea Classic A/S Lotion I think recently I may well have foolishly neglected this Razor because of the Short Handle, and too much time spent on modern SE`s. I have tried the Sabre V1 & ATT SE G2 and both are too mild for me and do not deliver a decent Shave. The 1914 is regarded as mild , but I found it to be very smooth during the Shave, but also have a nice level of blade feel and efficiency. Without any problems I was able to use it with precision to get a superb " Face Stroking Finish ", that honestly puts the Modern Gem/SEs in the Shade. I wonder how this late version of the ER 1914 compares with the earlier 11 tooth versions. I have used them but passed them on apart from one with a displaced spring. I think in the past I may have selected this one to keep because of its better performance.
