Good morning here Today i`ve tried the technique from Fuzzy`s video, and - it works ! I got almost near BBS shave, with 2 minor bloody spots, but skin pulling really helps a lot. I used my usual shaving soap Arko, because I wanted to eliminated eventually poor preparing. I finished without irritation or other issues. Big thanks to wchnu and RobinK , for advices and ... Happy shaving Fuzzy has taught me so much since I started down this rabbit hole. He taught me blade angle, he taught me face lathering, he taught me that technique Trump's tools. We agree on just about everything! Now x-2 let fuzzy teach you about the best way to bloom soaps, and your will be amazed at the great shaves you get. I bet he could show you some good ways to do it in his next video. Next video is how to build a brick launcher.

Hello all I am trying to made my MMOC as my go-to razor for my shaving routine. It shaves me quite well, except my chin and jawline. Stubble on my chin is very thick, and I have problems to remove it With my other razors I use blade buffing, which works, but with GEM is not so easy, because of head profile of the razor. So, I need to put a little pressure on these places, which cause me rubbing and irritation  After that I should not shave for 1-2 days, to heal the skin Do you have similar problems, and do you have any ideas how to eliminate them? Thanks ! On the jawline I would say skin stretching helps. You can pull the skin up and have a flatter area to shave. With the chin I use short strokes. Also stretching some there can help. Looks funny in the mirror but works. This is how I do it. Spot-on video and tips on using the MMOC. The two biggest A-HA moments for me were finally figuring out pressure (little to none) and angle (head flat against face). Simple enough in theory, but I struggled through inconsistent and rough shaves for the better part of 9 months until I figured these two skills out. In fact, this thread has inspired me to use only a MMOC, Williams and a Semogue boar all month long for June. I've toyed with this idea in the past, and am finally in a good position to benefit from a 30DC.

Nice to see that I am not alone By the way, I think to use Treet blades, which wchnu sent me before few months, instead GEM PTFE. They are somehow better and not that harsh on my face. And Williams soap, of course

And Williams soap, of course The carbon steel blades are smoother to me. Specially the first few shaves. The trade off is having to dry them. I do not find this a problem at all.

I'm four days in to the Micromatic Month, with the first 3 on a Gem stainless and today's on a CVS carbon. While the stainless blades are SHARP and long-lasting, the carbon blades are SMOOOOOTH though they tail-off sooner. Very comfortable shave this morning with the MMOC and carbon blade. And, loving the Williams too!! Whomever can't get this stuff to lather or perform certainly shouldn't blame the soap. This stuff just flat-out works.

Into week 2 of daily shaves with the MMOC, all month of June. I can report that the razor hasn't sliced my face off or tried physically attacking me, yet. Quite the contrary. I'm getting wonderfully smooth shaves, zero irritation and only the rare weeper when my concentration drifts. I liked this razor very much before the June focus, but now it's moving closer to the top of the ranks and is cemented in my weekly rotation. And to think, these great results are coming with using nothing but Williams. *GASP* *SHOCK*

Do you strop them before each shave and how often you change it (how many shaves per blade) ? Thanks !
