Into week 2 of daily shaves with the MMOC, all month of June. I can report that the razor hasn't sliced my face off or tried physically attacking me, yet. Quite the contrary. I'm getting wonderfully smooth shaves, zero irritation and only the rare weeper when my concentration drifts. I liked this razor very much before the June focus, but now it's moving closer to the top of the ranks and is cemented in my weekly rotation. And to think, these great results are coming with using nothing but Williams. *GASP* *SHOCK* Sounds good. What type of blades you use? Do you strop them before each shave and how often you change it (how many shaves per blade) ? Thanks ! Blades are carbon steel from CVS. Super smooth in the more efficient (aggressive) razors. I palm-strop all my SE blades after the shave. In my simple mind, it helps just a bit. Don't judge. Normally I'll get 5-7 shaves from a carbon blade and 10-15 from a SS blade.

Call me crazy, but blade life increased 2-3 uses after I started palm-stropping.

I palm-stropped at first, and I never had a problem, but I developed the belly strop technique and I like it better.
