Z-2, if we write too fast be sure to let us know. Yes, that was a joke. You're doing fine. It takes time to learn a new language and some of us (me) never get the hang of it.

I rinse, dry, and then belly strop my CS blades after each shave. Union's gonna get you for not using a stunt stropper. I do all my own stunts.

Well, halfway thru the month using only a MMOC and I'm still alive to tell about it. This perceived "beast" of a razor really is an efficient tool suitable for daily use, just treat it properly (mind your angles and pressure).
Oh, and did I mention yet that the Williams has been KILLING IT so far?! Just saying...

Six days into the MMOC as my daily driver. It will remain so for my seven weeks in Cambodia. Very content with the choice.

It's a cheapo Maggard Plissoft. Not my usual brush but the one I like to travel with. Six days into the MMOC as my daily driver. It will remain so for my seven weeks in Cambodia. Very content with the choice. What is that brush?

Today I have trouble with my hot water, so, I needed to shave with cold water. I got a canned goo (made in Turkey, not popular brand), which I use in moments like this. All that can say is - it`s works Ok, not the best preparation, and I was little afraid, because with GEM MMOC this is very important, but shave was very well. Personally I rare shave with cold water, but sometimes it happens Have a nice day to all !

One month, one razor, one brush, one soap. Smashing success in June with the MMOC, Semogue Owners Club boar and Williams soap.
I can confidently report that the MMOC can work wonderfully as a daily shaver. Granted, it does take more concentration and focus on the shave with this razor, but mind your angle and pressure and you'll get wonderful irritation-free results.
I shave 5 out of 7 days for work. Outside of the rare weeper, the MMOC didn't bite once. Zero bloodletting. And the only time I got some razor burn was when I disregarded one of my main tenets: mind the pressure. I pushed to hard for a BBS one time and the alum let me know I had some irritation.
To bring this all the way back, yes you definitely can use the Micromatic open comb as a daily shaver. Keep your head in the shave, focus on what you're doing and you'll be tickled pink with the outcome.
