All brands of the same manufacturer ASR. The 1912 patent and razor has a crazy and confusing history. STAR, Ever-Ready, GEM, Treet, all released 1912s.... anybody know the year of this GEM? Seems more chrome and love the look of the handle.

Fri 22nd June Omega 11126 Speick Active soap Schick E2-Canada Schick Proline [ 8 ] Pitralon Original A/S Lotion Though this E2 is milder than the US version it is still quite aggressive, however not uncomfortably so after the initial clearance phase. I think the Shave took longer than usual to get a good close finish, as the blade may well be past its best. Despite this I had no mishaps or post shave problems.

Pre: Cold water face wash Brush: Steven_jagger Zebrano Wood 24mm ST Soap: Tabula Rasa Light Cream Razor: Schick L1 Blade: Chick Post: Cold water rinse, Floid Black ASL At less than 23 hours since my last shave the L1 still took three passes to get something resembling a ccs. The S_J Brush is a lovely little thing and a pleasure to use. Steven is a very talented craftsman and fulfilled my remit beautifully. Have a great weekend everyone.

Well, technically yes, it is made in Italy. I'm not that sure. Never had a purchased box ... but I've never seen "Made in Italy" on RazoRock packaging. By law, they could write It just in case the last manifacturing step is made in Italy. If they change one detail, actually the soap is made in Turin by Tcheon Fung Sing (TFS), but the product should be "Made in Canada". BTW, TFS Linea Intenso as fragrance and power is one of the best ever used. Specially the one called "Ginestra di Taormina", that is my fav by far.

Today is my Nieces Wedding. So I thought long and hard on what to shave with. I had 4 days growth to deal with. I needed a razor that would mow down the 4 days growth. I also needed a razor to be able to do 4 passes and not irritate me. I considered doing 2 with my 1909 ER then do 2 finish passes with my PAL. This setup it tried and true. Ultimately I went with my ER Jewel. First pass mowed them down. Second pass left some straggling stubble on the chin and neck area. This is the norm for me. Third pass gave me a DFS. As this is a very special day, on to Pass 4. Lathering ever so lightly I proceeded to do a final buffing Pass. All I can say is. This is the closest most comfy shave I have had in months. Razor: ER Jewel Blade: Gem SC (1) Soap: Tabac AS: home brewed Bound and Shagged EO smell good stuff: Bound and Shagged.

Wow great shaves and awesome information. IschiaPP that synthetiv horse brush is stunning!!! twhite just Wow on that set up. Today was Haslinger for me. The sandalwood verdion of this great Austrian soap in a vintage German mug that belonged to my Great Uncle Quinon. The big ole boar JR #176 was fantastic. The Gem Junior Bar has one of my last PAL blades in it. What a great shave. Finished off with Grey Flannel.

Sat 23rd June Stirling Syn.26mm Stirling Baker Street Schick O Clone Schick Proline [ 11 ] Tuff GreenA/S lotion In complete contrast to my Shave yesterday with an E2 I used my O Clone. It may be described by many as a mild Razor, but when fitted with a Twin blade is is very efficient. I as usual had no problems getting a top notch close all round finish. If you need a trouble free Shave for a special occasion this would be a good choice.

Pre: Cold water face wash Brush: Steven_Jagger Panga Panga 26mm ST Soap: Wholly Kaw Man from Mayfair Razor: Pal Injecto-matic Golden Blade: Schick Proline B Post: Cold water rinse, WK Man from Mayfair Toner After yesterday's mediocre shave with the L1 I needed my faith in injectors restored and the Pal was just the thing. I love the S_J Panga Panga brush, Steven delivered exactly what I asked for and the quality of the knot is superb. Have a good Sunday. p.s. this is a predecimal ha'penny: p.p.s. you had to collect 480 to make a pound.
