This place is killing me....Right now I'm smiling to death!! Major Tom read across the street where I said something about Razor-napping the Fuzz-Man's A1 and look....what to my wondering eyes did appear!!!! He absolutely Surprised me....I had NO IDEA! There will be an extensive review.. THANK YOU TOM!!!

Tom included a freshly customized blade for me to use...So I immediately used it as a template to punch out a couple more blades...Thats fun too!
Man, after seeing how his Royal Fuzz-Jes-Ty was so knocked out....I was literally trembling a little as I whipped up my Williams....
First stroke did not disappoint....BBS in its wake...
This razor is right up there with my 1913ish ER Lather Catcher....maybe a tad more aggressive....I got a 5 Blade BBS in 2 passes and a Fuzzy Witch Hazel Clean-up....
The Auto-Strop is BADD To The BONE!!! Thanks Tom.....All the razors around here are speaking about the AUTO-STROP A1 in hushed tones....};^))

Mine is on the left, and Tom's is on the right....both work PERFECT....I just used needle nose pliers and snaped the cut out corners off...Tom actually snipped his. His is alot cleaner, but both slide in easily....Although I plan to pick up a snipper....Because I plan to be using this razor too much! }8^))

Yep, the one on the left is how I do mine, I use regular pliers and break 'em off, they snap really easy.
What exactly is an A1? I would have called it a VB1 but it appears to be pre-Valet, is that it?

Ok the A1 and A2 were the first incarnations of the Auto Strop. See below pictures. A1 on left. The handles are not removable on either model. The A1 has a round handle all the way to the head. A2 has a square section at the top. Both razors have the blade release that pushes the comb forward. All other models have the lever that pivots the comb down. See pictures.

Very interesting! Very different now that I can see the bottom, nothing like a VB1. And pre-Valet.
