Got it, Major Tom! He hasn't been seen since September 17 over across the street. Jared was caught up on the working for a living thing last I heard from him. Hopefully he will get back into the swing of things soon.

Report - One Week with the TaNNhäuSER Ok Gents, with today's shave I finished my one week test drive with the TNNSER. Since I haven't had the time to post daily, I will resume my thoughts and impressions in this post. To better focus on the razor, I kept the rest of the setup unchanged for all the shaves: Wickham Parma Violets soap, VigShaving 26mm finest badger brush and Myrsol Formula C after shave. Let me start from the bottom line: I really enjoyed shaving with this razor, and since the beginning I was able to obtain a smooth and comfortable shave. I find it to be perfectly balanced, and while a intechangeable handle version would be definitely interesting, I wouldn't strive for it since the original handle, with its curved shape, it's very useful in helping to find and mantain the correct angle, at least for me. The loading mechanism is both original and functional, and I can confirm the 'click' is very satisfying 😁 The roller feature is very steam-punkish looking (which is good in my book), but I must admit I didn't find it added something to the shave, probably due to the fact that I found the correct angle for me was obtained by "riding the cap", same way I do with a 1924 ER. Only one time I tried to use an opener angle, so that the roller was in contact with the skin, but I wasn't satisfied with the feedback which was that of an harsher cut. The encumbrance of the head needs some practice to get used to, especially in the area under the nose, but it's nothing dramatic and again, same thing happens with a Shovelhead. As I've said, I haven't tried any other of twhite 's creations but, as for this one, for me is definitely a success and better than most of the modern SEs available on the market. Thanks Tom, for the possibility to try it, it's time to pass it over to the next gentleman on the list. Great review Sir Petrvs. Glad it worked well for you!!

Sweet . Beautiful shave, one ATG + clean ups for the head shave which is about as good as it gets. No doubt next shave will be better now that I've figured out blade loading - I don't think I nicked the edge but I may have slightly. Handle is a bit tricky but likely just something to get used to.

TNNSER/Clog-Pruf. Figured out how to best grip the TNNSER, fresh blade , easy single pass plus touch ups head shave from both. TTO mechanism on the CP is starting to stick a bit, will have to investigate.

Starling-Purple plate/TNNSER. Give credit to PAA, the Starling is well put together. But I vastly prefer shaving with the TNNSER. The Starling has zero feedback , no doubt because of the way the blade is clamped (no cap span), and both because of it's light weight and sharp edges I find myself poking myself with the darn thing. It feels like you're dragging a sharp aluminum blade holder across your face, as you are. I can't hoIwever fault its efficiency. The TNNSER offers audible feedback and is way more comfortable, and this idiot doesn't poke himself while flinging it around. Efficiency is a close call. I'm tempted to give the edge to the Starling but the stubble grows differently on the two sides of my head so comparison is unfair after one shave. Both terrific.
