Very nice looking razor. Always love the look of the little wooden handle on these. And the beautiful engraving and fretwork of course. As I've got serious doubts about me being able to shave with it given my problems with anything even vaguely SE open comb, when looking at that I wish I was a collector sometimes.

Very nice, I rarely see ones in such good shape put in the wild. Congrats on a nice score.

Andy,
Great looking razor. Mine is not as nice as yours but I bet they both will shave well. I just love mine. It is a close 2nd among my SE razors to my '06 Elite GEM Jr lathercatcher that I purchased from D.Irving79.

Yep, a wild catch. I think I stumbled a bit what I saw it in the display case and started heading over that way. I even got it for 30% less than sticker price since the box has some minor damage.

I just had to add - MM, FW, OCMM, G-B, 12s, 24s, all nice - but this is a fabulous shaver. The word 'Junior' was added to the GEM line about 1905 when they introduced the spine-back blade to the shave world. The Jr Bar is an improved version from the first, which didn't have a support 'bar' implemented in the design. I broke out my 08 with metal handle and have been happily shaving since this post MrGuy - thnx for the inspiration! I gotta get me a 'Woody'! (no bad jokes please )
