Pre: Cold water face wash, Brush: LeeDa Keyhole, 24mm Maggards Finest Soap: OSP Bay Rum Razor: ATT Calypso (on loan) Blade: Feather Pro SuperPost: Cold water rinse, Layrite No.9 ASLWith a fresh blade on board, the Calypso delivered another cracking shave. I'll have one more shave with her and then send her on her way to sunny Scotland. I think that's the first time I've used that term without being sarcastic. The Layrite No.9 is very nice and not as sweet as Boots, but my search for a clove light bay rum continues. Happy Shaving one and all.

Thursday's ShaveKeeping It Simple Shave WeekWilliams Mug Shave Soap Jayaruh #309 Alumigoose Feather Professional CWR Aqua Velva AS My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Williams Mug Shave Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #309 synthetic brush. I did just one pass with the Mongoose Alumigoose Razor on loan from Redfisher with a Feather SS Professional blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Aqua Velva AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Friday SOTD Razor: Eveready lather catcher Blade: GEM PTFE Brush: Simpson Special Pure Badger Soap: B&M Seville Don't use this Eveready to often so I have to reacquaint myself with the feel and technique. A VERY loud razor, lots of feedback. It's easy to manage and keeping the blade retention tab lightly touching my skin gives me the best feel and angle. Tougher on the upper lip, though. A couple tiny weepers that I'll chalk up to lack of use for this razor. A surprisingly nice shave when all said and done.

Pre: Cold water face wash, Brush: WDC-8, Maseto 24mm 2BF Soap: Noble Otter Barrbarr Razor: Gem MMCP Blade: Treet Super Carbon Post: Cold water rinse, Tuff Red ASLIf the performance of this soap matched the scent it would have no competitors for the No.1 spot in my soaps, as it is, it's not in my top five.
