Well, in the spirit of fuzzy, I have another potential member of our club. I will be starting him out with a synthetic brush (less maintenance) I have not decided on a razor yet. I am considering either a featherweight Or a damanskee. I will of course be giving him advice all through it. I am thinking of giving him a cream from a tube first, either my derby cream or the arko. Something that is easy to lather.
It looks like he will enjoy it, and be a new convert!

I am going to ignore all that stuff up there...just saying
I have the starter kit in my truck to give my coworker. I am starting him with VDH deluxe and a VDH boar. This has been a standard for some time.

A friend of mine is currently in China. I might get some Frank Shaving synthetics on the cheap (badger, too, but the synthetics are the real deal). Let me know if you want some (like 20 or so) for future reference, and... I have not used any of the Frank Shave stuff. I also missed this post before.

Well, said friend is back in Germany, but you can get those brushes on eBay, and at a few select retailers in the US. From a price/performance perspective, they really are good, especially the synthetics.

This has been a standard for some time. I had a VDH boar, it was a nice firm scrubber, but it shed like crazy, and the glue bump was very high. Love/hate thing.

Got my guy setup yesterday. Gave him the GEM featherweight. Cvs blades, a simple synthetic brush from Sallys beauty supply. Also, gave him some derby cream and arko soap.
He was a bit skiddish about the single edge, I also gave him an unmentionable to use as well. We shall see which one he likes the best.
