Ok folks I need some help. I have a damaskee that has some issues. The head is fine, but the hinge is messed up. What I mean is, when you open the top, the hk ge that holds the blade is not at a right angle to the bottom of the head.
I have used a pair of needle nose to straighten it, but when I do it makes the opening and closing of the cap very tough.
Am I missing something? It looks as though when I try to bend the hinge, it puts more of a curve on the head.....
I will upload photos tonight.

Do you mean "Damaskeene"? The "hinge" is just two pins on the base.

Head, is both cap and baseplate.
Remove the cap and place it on a flat surface to see if it's twisted.
Put the baseplate blade bed down on a flat surface and see if it's twisted.
NEED PIX!!!

Not sure how well the pictures turned out. It looks as if the frame has twisted . It does shave very well, and if it isn't too badly damaged I will just keep it running as is. Attachments:

I have added more pix, although it does appear that the frame is in fact twisted. I may just keep it and not try to fix it, I kinda like it a bit twisted, gives it more character in my opinion.

Yep, droop on one side. We all droop a little as we get older!
