Friday May 11 Razor: Ever Ready 1914 - Little Lather Catcher Blade: GEM Stainless Brush: Dollar Store Boar Lather: Kiss My Face - Cool Mint A/S: Alum, Lucido splash, Aloe Vera Gel Mostly BBS. Very enjoyable shave. The 1914 has such great audible feedback and it's so smooth on the face. Not quite a great a shave as yesterday with the GEM Jr, but close... And the 1914 is much "cooler" in my opinion

Saturday Morning:
DVH soap (absolutely nailed it this morning!) Modified Semogue 1250 brush GEM '24 GEM SS ptfe (10) KFBR (1st reformulation)
Everything about this shave was perfect!
I trimmed about 1/2" off of the tips of the brush and one might think it would make it scritchy, and maybe it has compared to a boar with tapered ends, but it works amazingly well. But I don't see any split ends yet. I wonder if they'll ever split? BTW, I had nothing to lose by trimming the brush. It was sent to me for the handle so that I could reknot it. So it's worth the experiment.
