I recently picked up a second Schick H1 Hussey. In comparing my two Husseys I realized they are not the same. One says "Eveready" on the small plate on the front while the other says "Eveready" on the larger plate in the back. They also have different patent numbers. I looked online and find no info of two H1 types. Just curious. Waits does not say anything about it. I would guess they just changed it somewhere along the way. Looks like the rest of the razor is identical. I do not know which was first or anything. I checked both of mine and I also have one of both. I never paid enough attention to notice. Good catch.

Very interesting. I was aware of the different patent numbers, but not that some didn't say "Eversharp" on the back plate, but on the front inset (both of mine are missing that bit) Waits doesn't know about it, because Appleby doesn't and that's where he gets his info from. herm2502 - can I use your pictures on my Hussy page: www.razors.click/injectors/schick/ModelH1/ ?? With credits of course.

I've updated the Hussy page with new pictures. I'm honored. With contributions from guys like you, I might finish that project in a couple of years. Without - I won't - ever. So, thanks. (The E and G types will be a hoot. I think Appleby's classification merely touches on what's out there - US vs Canadian, old handles on new heads, wartime models, Eversharp takeover, etc - I'm afraid I might have to invent model numbers like G2C3b - G2, Canadian, subvariant 3b )
