Fri 28th Sept RazoRock Syn. 24mm P & B Pall Mall Ever Ready 1912- ex Bathroom Set Gem S/S [ 1 ] Floid Vigoroso A/S Lotion Having decided that a few more SE Shaves were on the cards, I had to use one with a fresh Blade. I chose my favourite British 1912, as it has so little wear that even with a fresh blade it shaves really smoothly and efficiently. In fact the Shave was extremely enjoyable and I ended with an ultra close all round Shave, probably one of the top ones in this rotation.

Gem Junior Bar, Gem SS, ER 300, Squadron Spitfire. I swapped out the original small wooden handle for something more substantial and a great shave was had.

Sat 29th Sept Omega 11137 boar L`Occitane Cade Cream Ever Ready Ambassador Set Gen S/S [ 2 ] Puig Quorum A/S Lotion Had a really nice Shave yesterday with a 1912, but the extra weight of this Razor makes a difference to a Shave. That weight used properly just shears away the growth so efficiently that a Shave seems to take no time. As usual I overdid the Cade Cream, so with a super abundant lather the Shave was ultra smooth and all growth was eradicated with ease. Had a thought about preparing for our holiday, I should really try out a carry on Razor just in case my hold luggage with proper Shaving Gear goes astray.

SE Sunday's Shave Cold Water Wash LaToja Shaving Stick Jayaruh #319 Gem Jr. 1907 Original Gem Cutlery SE CWR Mennen Skin Bracer My prep was just a cold water rinse. The LaToja Shaving Stick face lathered well with the Jayaruh #319 brush. I did two passes with the Gem Jr. 1907 Safety Razor with an Original Gem Cutlery SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Mennen Skin Bracer AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Hey Gents, here are my Thursday, Friday and Saturday night shaves. A STAR 1912 with baton handle, just a beautiful looking razor. The Schick Hydro-Magic Type I2 with a fresh personna 74 on it's 1st two shaves. These old blades from the 1970s are mind bowing, I know I say that a lot, but they are awesome. I have not used this type I before, I have several versions.. this one has been used and has wear and tear that makes it amazing, for some reason more audio feedback than my other type I's? Maybe blade had a little play, whatever it is I like it...

I didnt post a pic but if you close your eyes and picture this : A beautiful Gem FW with ivory colored handle loaded with a new Personna SS blade. Theres a well broken in Omega boar brush soaked for a few mins in hot water churning up a later of Williams in an Old Spice mug . If you look to your right theres a rack loaded with enough shaving gear for the next 100 years , brushes, soaps, cremes, blades galore , vintage and new razors just waiting for the call. The mixed scents of all varieties of aftershaves and balms waft through the air but theres one that stands out . Yes , Its Aqua Velva ice blue , the Abbott to the Williams Costello. It was a great shave ...same players every time, for the last two weeks , for the next two weeks ..or months ...till the puck of Williams has vanished . The END
