Hold my beer...... After once again seeing a Clog Pruf being used with a Injector style blade I had to see. I am very anti blade tinkering..except when needed for extent blades. I had to see for myself if the Injector blade helped anything. It did not in my opinion. I am biased of course and admit it. The shave was very good and shows that a razor is a blade holder. Blade is a blade. If held tight and not damaged it will shave. I enjoyed the shave like I do all shaves...but no real reason to do this to a razor. MMFW Schick blade Horse brush Tabac WH Pinaud clubman musk And the video.

Great, now I gotta buy one of them. I mean, I already have the MM, and the clog proof, might as well make the trifecta. So between the push button, and the flying g wing, and more lather catchers and more gem jrs, and more featherweights there will be so much enaing going on it won't be funny.

Don't forget the Auto Strop... Good to know I can count on you.... Know if I only knew an old cranky man piddling around with stockpiles of razors..... I may have to stop by on my way to the "redneck Rivera" aka orange Beach, and see ole fuzzy next year during vacation. Seriously though, have you been feeling well recently, I've known you to bash at someone for adding essential oils or aftershave to lathers, and now you are using an injector blade in a guiding eye? What has this world come to?

What has this world come to? I like adding aftershave at times. That is not bad. Mixing soaps or creams or glycerin to Williams is molesting. I had to try it to see. Now I know I was right. Silly stuff at the least.

Generally I will stick to a conventional blade , but I do remember a few years ago there was a bit of a panic that ASR were ceasing production of the Gem/Personna blades. If that were ever the case it is at least nice to know the the Schick AC blade works with the Micromatic Family. Regards-Mike B PS At nearly 78 I am down my last 500 Gem Blades- should I worry

I actually agree that if it came down to a had to I would be happy to fire up the injector blades. To me it would be like using a modified GEM blade in the Auto Strops. Keep the great SOTD day post coming I enjoy seeing yours all the time.

Hi Fuzzy, I really did my experiment to see if it would make a difference to the Micromatic Original, as some folk found it too fierce initially with a Gem, and I used the the Type B AC blade which I think is better than a Chick. I personally do not have problems with it but it might be an option for those who need some help in leaning how to use a great Razor. Today had a nice Shave with the Flying Wing which is a bit mild for me, but it is still a good razor. Enjoy your Williams Wednesday - we do not get it over here. Regards- Mike
