Razor: Micromatic Clog-Pruf Blade: GEM Stainless Brush: Synthetic Lather: Kiss My Face - Cool Mint A/S: Alum, Lucido splash, Aloe Vera Gel
Mostly BBS. Skipped a day yesterday and the Clog-Pruf just mowed that stubble right down.

Tuesday, May 15, 2012 Prep: Hot shower Lather: Vito's ExtraSuperCoco - face lather Brush: Semogue OC 2-Band Razor: Valet Auto Strop VC1 Blade: Gem PTFE (2); 3 passes Post: Cold water rinse; Krampert's Finest Bay Rum (reform) The Valet is a super nice shaver. I'm kicking myself a bit for not picking one of these up sooner. I was a bit nervous about having to modify a blade for it, but that is (quite literally) a snap! I modified 5 blades in about a minute. It seems to perform every bit as well as my beloved Gem OCMM except for in one spot. I must not have the angle quite right when going under my chin during the ATG pass. A couple small nicks there this morning. However, everywhere else is BBS like my OCMM gets me using the same method of passes. Add to this amazing experience just how cool the razor looks and I'm starting to think that any other razor in my Nook besides these 2 may start to get neglected. How can you say no to 2 razors that perform so admirably each and every time?!

Great BBS shave. Haven't used the injector in quite a while, and now I wonder why I waited so long! Very nice!

I'm getting the angles down with the Valet. I did much better under my chin this morning. Now to just get the jawline figured out.

Wednesday AM 05-16-2012Moss Anniversary Slate scuttle Ach Brito Glyce preshave soap Somerset Simpson Harvard 3 Best brush Colgate shaving soap Gem Damaskeene razor Gem SS PTFE blade (2) Pinaud Clubman aftershave A very good shave, although the switch from DE to SE was slightly awkward once again, mainly just for the first pass. I really like the Damaskeene.

Wednesday morning:
130°F hot towel face prep p.160 SIS SimpsonCommodore x1 best GEM '24 GEM SS ptfe (12) KFBR
I made used the p.160 to do what it does so well...superlather. Lesser soaps can't do that, all one winds up with is dry lather.
12th shave on the blade and I never even felt the blade. BBS in 2 1/3 passes, it doesn't get better than that.
