So I started plowing today, got no more than 15 minutes into what was turning out to be probably close to 3 hours. Then a critical and major part of the plow broke. It's the pivot that holds plow to the A-Frame. The A-Frame is part of the plow that gets removed when the plow isn't mounted onto the truck. There is no fixing it. So it's back in the shop waiting for the part... 3-4 days from now it'll come in. They need to tear it all apart to fix it, so I have no idea when I'll get it back. What a mess I now have, but a friend is going to come over with his rig. Dang it's cold out there today! The temp never got above 4°F and with the stiff wind the wind chill is down near -20°. Naturally I had some other repair work to do in that cold. It would have been a lot more convenient if things could have broken when they weren't being used, and not when the poop is hitting the fan.

Well, here we go again. The temperature got up to 94 today. Tomorrow we might hit triple digits. Hopefully it will get back down to the mid 80s next week. I’m not ready for summer to start yet.

Alan I don't know if I'd trade our weather for yours even if I could, it's also too early for summer up here in Maine and we'd like to have a transition.
Today it's in the 40s and won't warm up much. It's cloudy and rain is expected with heavy rain tonight and into tomorrow. There is a potential for 2". That's typical for Maine in the spring as the cold winter air hasn't fully retreated and the warm moist air from the south tries to push it out. They collide and the result is rain. Happens pretty much every year. I have a match tomorrow and at this time it appears that it will be rained out for me. I've shot in too much rain over the decades and I just won't do that anymore. But for the Sunday match it appears we'll have good weather (YAY!).
edit: The match was not only rained out for me (I no longer shoot in the rain if at all possible) but for everyone. The notification was sent out last night. It was the right call as it it absolutely poured for most of the night and is still raining on and off. It;s supposed to rain tomorrow as well, but good weather until the afternoon some time. I'm going to chance it.

This is not at all common for Maine; April, yes, but May makes it very uncommon,. The forecast for tomorrow gives us a potential for 1-3 inches of snow. If it happens at all it won't last very long. Obviously the cold weather and warm weather are still fighting for supremacy.

It got up to 68 today. Sparse clouds made it a beautiful day.

NH is getting snow and so are the 1500+ elevations in Maine. We might get a coating at most. Just cold rain so far, temp's in the very low 40s.

Stay safe Rob.
Finally we're getting some decent weather up here in Maine.

The same here Penny (Maine). Had a match today and it was just incredible; the heat and humidity that is. But relief is on the way for us.I hope you get some relief from it also.

TS (or is it hurricane?) Barry is controlling our weather today, so it's hot and humid w/rain and thunderstorms.
I have another match this weekend, but it's going to be in the mid 90s and maybe up to 100 with high humidity. I love to shoot, and there are a set number of matches scheduled. I hate to miss even one, but that won't be a fun time with those conditions. If the forecast doesn't change I think I'll stay home.

I admit that I don't follow the national weather very much. Once I know what to expect for the local weather for the day and the very near future I walk away. What's happening in your weather (location, location, location)? Here in Maine while we aren't in winter astronomically we are definitely in winter weather. We had a few inches of snow and ice the other day and it's been unusually cold for the month. Last night it was 6°F and I'm betting we set a record for the date. Global warming, bah, humbug! How do I sue Al Gore for leading me on? I was counting on global warming! I have noticed that there is no discussion by the talking heads of global warming on days that don't fit the narrative. Anyway, exceptionally cold here and while it's supposed to warm up slightly it's also forecast to stay colder than what is considered normal for quite some time.
