Gonna start a fire storm I'm sure BUT I have to say I don't like Aqua Velva or any of the spin offs either.
Don't hate
I do like Pinaud products though

I'd find myself a chair to hide under from those bricks. The only AV that I like is the blue one, but I can't wear it because it aggrivates the wife. She has an issue with hyper olfactory glands and some things give her sinus and migraine headaches.

My wife is super-sensitive to some scents as well -- I don't think hers is a physical reaction (i.e., sinusitis and/or migraines); but most heavy cologne scents make her unhappy. Smells really are a personal thing, one person calls it fragrant another calls it foul. In my household, I shoot for stuff I find pleasant (to me) but understated (for her) -- AV doesn't fit the bill in my house.

Your all out of the will again. Not liking the Velva is like not enjoying apple pie!! I will be sure to slap on a little extra before work tonight!
But really.... Just proves once again that we all see things a little different.

Yep YMMV is certainly a REAL thing with Fragrances and Blades, probably more so than anything else....I mean EVERYONE loves Williams, a good brush and a GEM 1912, right? YMMV doesn't apply on those things.. I'm lucky...just last week I asked my wife about some After Shave I was wearing...She said that I always smelled great...but some had a note she didn't dig...but for the over all scent, she liked all the ones I've been using. Then I went in and splashed some AV Ice Blue and she walked over and volunteered a sniff, and said, "I have ALWAYS LOVED EVERYTHING about that one!" Ahhh. thats right...she hss always loved both flavours of the great AV!!

It's funny...Most of my memories with my Dad shaving always involve a Schick and more often than not, Old Spice.
Well Old Spice has changed...so when I splash...there is no de ja vu...no time machine rush.
But Skin Bracer and Aqua Velva have kept their magic. Aqua Velva gives me that time machine flash to my childhood even though my Pop didn't use it that often. But every other man in my family did. And it still smells exactly the same to me. I love it!

I didn't realize you were in Milan, one of the Greatest Jazz Cities in the World. Do you still have a "Bluenote" thats seats over 1000 people? I've played with some Italian Jazz musicians who are just the finest musicians on the Planet. My last concert in Istanbul I featured Luigi Grasso. Are you familier with this young heir apperent to Charlie Parker? When I first heard him, I realized, the "Bird does in fact, Live"!
