I just looked through my spreadsheet. I only missed two days last year, and that was because I was in the hospital and unable to shave. I have a bunch of razors (100+), and I strive to give them all some face time, but a few got more than others. I normally give a razor five shaves during the week and do an unmentionable on Saturday and a lather catcher on Sunday.
These got the most face time in 2018.
Gem Jr. Lather Catcher 25 J.A. Henckels Safety wedge 18 Supply Provision 18 Pal Injecto-Matic 16 Bunny V3 Injector 12 RazoRock Black Hawk 12

Perhaps my best shave of the year:

Spreadsheets?? Y'all keep track all year long?? My goodness, don't think I could do that.

I can barely remember where I put my pants, much less take time to do a spreadsheet.

I can barely remember where I put my pants, much less take time to do a spreadsheet. It's not really a big deal. I started a chart back in July of 2013 in a Word document. I have continued it until this day. Each week, around Thursday or Friday, I plan out my shaves for the following week, M-S. It is not hard to do. For the last year, my method is to choose one razor for M-F, a st----ht (13 razor rotation) for Saturday, and a lather catcher (5 razor rotation) for Sunday. I celebrate Menthol Monday (rotating through my menthol creams/soaps), Tabac Tuesday and Thursday, and Williams Wednesday. Then I pick one soap or cream for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I must admit that I do use unmentionables, but most of my shaves for the year were definitely SE or injectors. I usually pick a Jayaruh brush to use for the week, but I will sneak in a twhite brush or some other from time to time. I am using Osage Rub for Menthol Mondays, and Tabac AS for Tuesday and Thursday. I choose some after shave for the rest of the week. I then take pictures of the next week's shaves and edit them for posting. I size them down to 800 px wide to make them managable. Then, I'm ready to post them as I do them. I am attaching a screen shot of the first six days of January.

Spreadsheets?? Y'all keep track all year long?? My goodness, don't think I could do that. It's actually quite easy. It's a LibreOffice spreadsheet and with auto-completion, it takes a few seconds to add a new entry. I just have to remember to increase the number of shaves for the current blade - the main reason I started this - keeping track of blades. The hard part was writing a number of shell scripts that extract the data from the spreadsheet, then add up how often an item was used and sort them. But doing that kind of stuff is part of my job, so it was not too hard. To get the end-of-year statistics I then have to type a single command and get the results in less than a second, grouped by brushes/razors/blades etc... There is a good chance I will turn the whole process into a web page next year. There are some cool new technologies I want to learn and a shave tracker seems a good first toy project. A web page where I as the author don't have to host the database on my own server and have no access to any user data is the next hot thing (unless you're Facebook - they must hate the idea) - use my web page but store your own data. But only if my workload goes down a bit which - as a consultant who gets paid by the hour - I hope it won't.

I will confess to being part of the spreadsheet crowd, but I just started using it in earnest a few months ago. I look forward to having a full year of data to present in SOTY 2019.
