Van Der Hagen white soap, and a Bullet Tip. Boy do some folks wish they could get the good Lathers with the cheap stuff!

Menthol Monday's ShaveCold Water Wash Tabac Shaving Soap Jayaruh #327 J.A. Henckels Rapide CVS CS SE CWR Tabac AS My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Tabac Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #327 brush. I did two passes with the Henckels razor with a CVS CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... I broke out my Rapide as well, sorry no time for pix. I just can’t seem to get my wedges as keen as a PTFE. Any pointers?

SOTD January 16th Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap Schick Injector Type O Personna Injector Yaqi Professional B&W Synthetic(30mm, Cruiser Class) RazoRock "Son Of Zeus" Italian Barber "Amici" AS My unicorn arrived yesterday and of course I couldn't wait to give it a try. Whipped up the RR Son Of Zeus soap with the big 30mm Yaqi synthetic and kept adding water until it was almost dripping. This was probably the slickest lather that I've ever gotten out of a RR soap. The curve of the handle of the Type O really make it easy to ride the cap with them. Such a smooth comfortable shave. Three passes left me BBS. I finished with an application of Stirling Glacial Unscented balm and after that absorbed a splash of RazoRock Amici. Have a great day my friends!

With this new one, however, I am using the CVS CS blade. I noticed the disposable blade afterwards. Do you use any type of spacer or wedge with those blades? I have attempted non wedge blades but the gapping leaves it a bit too aggressive for my taste.

I do have a spacer, but I am not using one right now. Just the blade. It works great for me.

Wed 16th Jan RazoRock Plissoft 22mm P & B Spitfire Supply SE-V1 & V2- 3dot plate Schick _Chick [ 4 ] P & B Spitfire A/S Splash I am now getting quite good Shaves with the Supply, but even on a 3 plate find it very mild. I did not put the effort in so the neck was not finished to a good standard.

Thursday 17th January Yaqi Tux - Truefitt & Hill West Indian Limes cream - General Aluminium - Schick Proline P #1 - Alum - Superdrug Sierran Breeze A/S - Dove Nourishing Cream I do like the occasional warm lather shave. The Giles scuttle does the job brilliantly with a lovely limey scented lather from the T&H cream. Great result from the General/Proline. Very happy.
