As many of you know, I like to review various products that come in the market. I purchased a first generation Cremo Sandlewoood shave soap last year. It WILL NOT lather. Well, it seems to be the original formulation of the product, and is a known issue. I was contacted today, by the company and they have reformulated the product. Also, they are sending me a new batch. Now, to be upfront and honest, I never once asked for free product nor any compensation, just wanted to let them know that the product did not work as advertised. So, in the spirit of giving back to this community, when I get done using a bit of this, I will pass it on. If anyone wants a sample or two of the Sandlewoood scent please let me know and I'll happily dish some out for you to try .

I am not interested in a non-lathering "soap." If it lathers, I would be interested. Thanks.

The previous version did not lather at all. It was touted as a lathering cream it just didn't perform. Well, they apparently reformulated the product and now it is actually supposed to lather. We will see what happens when I get it.

I remain skeptical. When I see it on your video, I will believe it. You can lather just about anything. I got Cremo when it first came out. I shortly piffed it to some poor guy who didn't know anything. HA! I probably would just throw it out today.

I, as you, remain skeptical. I'm not going to go in however with my mind already made up, I do want to be fair. We will just have to wait and see.

You can get worse creams than Cremo, though you can also get a lot better creams. They're at a solid C+ in my book.
Worked through a tube of the regular (citrus) and a tube of the cooling a few years back. Wasn't enamored with either one, but they served the purpose.
I guess I'm trying to say, "Meh..."

pisces0 what is it about the cream that makes it just a C+?

pisces0 what is it about the cream that makes it just a C+? Cremo isn't overly slick or cushioning, though adequate. It doesn't give a traditional lather, which is part of the experience for me. For me, it smeared and ran more than anything. Better than shave gel, not as drying and a bit more glide, but not head-and-shoulders better. Just slightly.

Well, the product came in last night. Of course I had to use it this morning. Video is uploading now. jayaruh I used your synthetic brush to really give this soap a work out. I think you will like the results! If y'all want to try it out, I'll send it out. I can say this, it does smell like Sandlewoood! Stronger after the shave as well!
