Gem Small Head razor Treet blade Maison Lambert Silver Tip brush VeraSoapCo Peppermint SS Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe Colorado Sage cologne
Some call this razor a Squat Head, I prefer Small Head since it is smaller than the regular Gem head and squat is not a word that should be used for such a nice razor I think. Regardless, it's a great shaver. BBS in 2 passes and my face is very happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.

I had intended to make a video this morning but there were some techincal problems. I will now be using the same setup for tomorrow in order to get this sample of soap on it and start my Auto Strop video series. Today was a sample of Shannon's Soaps Forest city Fern. I liked this soap. I think it has dried some in the sample container but it was still a great shave.( mlb549 can you chime in on this?) The VC4 was great too. I did not check the blade stops before starting, like you always should, do and gave myself a little scratch. Lesson reinforced. Over all it was a really nice comfortable shave!! Have a great day!! I am headed off to a day shift. Valet Auto Strop VC4 Feather SE blade reknot ER 650PB Shannon's Soaps Forest City Fern SS WH Aqua Velva Musk.

It is very possible the sample has dried out a bit. I have nine if their soaps and I think they are top notch. I met Mr and Mrs at a shave meet and enjoyed their comments and commitment to their customers. I am glad yo like it, mlb549!

Tue 22nd Jan. Cyril Salter / Maseto 2 Band P & B Pall Mall King Cobra Schick Proline [ 3 ] Floid Vigoroso A/S Lotion Despite its compact head the KC is quite big because of the Handle, and takes a bit of getting used to. I am now feeling more comfortable with it, and had a trouble free smooth Shave with not bad an all round finish.

Williams Wednesday's ShaveCold Water Wash Williams Mug Shaving Soap Jayaruh #340 TNNSER GEM Blue Star SE CWR Pinaud Special Reserve AS My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Williams Mug Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #340 badger brush. I did two passes with the TNNSER razor with a GEM Blue Star SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Pinaud Special Reserve AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Close and comfortable shave today. Not a BBS, Not a DFS, but with no irritation, I'll take it! First use of the Derby shave stick, so far I am a fan!

January 21 -- Menthol MondayMuch better shave than the other day -- 2nd shave with the PTFE is infinitely better than the 1st shave, and the 3rd shave on will be the best if my history is any guide. Got a close comfortable shave, with an emphasis on comfortable. Razor: G-Bar (final shave for this rotation....next stop Lather Catcher!) Blade: Gem PTFE (shave #2) Soap: Palmolive Stick -- I had enough lather for at least 2, maybe 3 shaves -- great soap! Brush: Yaqi 24mm Mew Brown Synth -- super soft, especially nice if you're not looking for a scrubbing A/S: Krampert's Finest Frostbite -- I sometimes forget to put in the pic, but I never forget to put it on my face! Funny, I am using the Gbar for this week's shaves! Did a video on it Tuesday for the TOST channel. I like it. I rank it 3rd, Micromatic, clogproof, then the gbar, then the bullet tip. YMMV
