Gem Bullet Tip razor Treet blade Stirling MITA SS FS/WD boar brush Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe Daxton A/S
Why to Treet blades rust so quickly for me? Don't know but they do. Can only get about 3 shaves out of them before the rust takes over. Yes, I take the blade out of the razor, dry it and put it in a dry place till the next shave. Don't know what more I can do except not use them any more. Oh well, there are more good blades. BTW, ended up with a nice shave and all is well. Now go enjoy your day folks.

I take a brush and set it on the dresser, then put the blade on it. in my mind it helps. Plus I use a dehumidifier so I suspect that helps more.

I do the oil thing as well -- my technique is to use a q-tip to put a light coat of mineral oil on the blade after drying it. Sometimes I'll also dip it in isopropyl alcohol (after rinsing it off in water), prior to the oil. Even with that I do get some rust on the body of the blade, but the edge always looks clean.

Thur 31st Jan. Vulfix 404 mixed Blue`s Soap PAA Starling V2 / Windrose Handle Gem S/S [ 1 ] Floid Vigoroso A/S Lotion This is my 3rd Shave with the Starling, when previously I rather unfairly marked its performance down due to a suspect blade being used. Today, I used it with a fresh blade and without any problems got a smooth and comfortable Shave. The finish on the face was excellent, but I need to work on my technique when working around the neck. I am thinking that for me the Starling is more efficient at dealing with my growth than a G-Bar/ Push Button, and using a new blade caused no problems.

Friday's ShaveCold Water Wash Mitchell's Wool Fat Jayaruh #313 Open Faced Damaskeene ShaVeZee SE CWR English Leather My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #313 badger brush. I did two passes with the Open Faced Damaskeene razor with a ShaVeZee SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. I also did a Fuzzy today. I applied witch hazel after the second pass and did a touch up pass. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with English Leather AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
