Menthol Monday's ShaveCold Water Wash Fine Snake Bite Jayaruh #353 Damaskeene 1912 Gem Damaskeene SE CWR Osage Rub My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Fine Snake Bite Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #353 Badger/Boar brush. I did two passes with the Damaskeene 1912 razor with a Gem Damaskeene blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

My Shave of the Week
Schick G4/Route 66 razor Personna 74 blade day 4 Omega 10066 boar brush Stirling Margaritas in the Artic SS Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe Barbasol Brisk A/S w/added menthol
Great shave and my face is very happy. I've decided to use this combo all week since it worked so well this morning. Maybe change the brush but that would be all. A couple of weeks ago I said that I was going to use up the MITA SS. I did this because it had such a large hole in the Stirling container. I moved the remnants to an Old Spice mug and it was 1/2 full!! Lots left but I'm still going work on using it up. Anyway, all is well so go enjoy your day folks

SOTD February 11th Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap Schick Injector Type F Personna Maseto Shaving Classic (30mm, Cruiser Class) Stirling Haverford soap and AS Stirling Glacial Unscented PSB This week is going to be an Injector theme week for me as I work through EDRIO. No better place to start then with the Type F. All metal construction and industrial good looks! The Type F not only looks good but to me is a very aggressive razor, right up there with the E2 and Pal IM. I also realized that there was still one more scent from my Stirling Black Friday order that I haven't tried yet, Haverford. Sweet tobacco and vanilla and STRONG! Opening the soap tub quickly made the bathroom smell like my grandpa was smoking a cigar near by. A nice heavy load with the poor mans Chubby 3 had me a bowl full of lather that looked like melted chocolate ice cream. I finished with Stirling Glacial Unscented PSB followed by a very light application of the Haverford AS, which I can still smell quite strongly 5 hours later. Have a great day my friends!

Feb 11th -- Menthol Monday!!!I did another daily-double, this time my 1924 ER ("Shovel Head") was joined by it's GEM cousin (Micromatic Clog-Pruf). The Shovel Head really didn't need any assistance, but I've got a friend in another part of the world that likes to celebrate "Micromatic Monday", so I thought I'd join in. I'm on shave #3 with the 1924 and I really, REALLY like it...A LOT. I had a solid two days of growth and the ER handled the first 2 passes of my shave with incredible efficiency. I had a Darn Fine Shave after 2 passes, so I then turned over my touch-up (aka 3rd pass) to the Clog-Pruf, and the proverbial "Baby" showed up. An outstanding shave day!!! Today was also a first for a new brush, the 28mm Maggard's Beehive. I used to think that smaller brushes made more sense, but honestly, I'm really enjoying the larger/fuller knots. I did get carried away a bit and had some lather flying around the room, but frankly that was just me having fun!!! Did I mention it was an outstanding shave day?!? 1924 Ever-Ready (aka "Shovel Head") w/GEM SS PTFE #7 GEM Micromatic Clog-Pruf w/Treat CS #6 Maggard's 28mm Plissoft Beehive Stirling's Margarita's in the Arctic | Krampert's Finest Frostbite

Monday Razor: Gem 1887 Blade: Kampfe bros wedge Brush: Rubberset 49-3 Boar Soap: Tabac AS: VIBR This was my first shave in over a week. I figured it required a real razor and blade. It did not disappoint. 3 pass DFS. These wedge blades are the Bomb. Keep the faith.

Monday 11th Feb. RazoRock Plissoft 22mm Cyril Salter Solid Soap Schick E2 - Canada,WW2 issue. Schick S/S- Japan [ 5 ] Pitralon Polar A/S Lotion A really good Monday Morning Shave. I am so lucky to have this particular E2, it has good blade feel and shaves smoothly and efficiently yet feels non threatening. I had no problems getting a good close all round finish, and no Alum is required. This E2 is vying with a PAL Injecto Matic for top spot in Razors confined to use of a Single blade [ do not count B, C or F in the list as they are not accessible to all]

Monday shave Just got the Gem in the mail from Andrews shave shop. Excellent condition and awesome price. Shaves very well too. The reknotted Surrey brush is a Pif from Andrew as well and came with the razor. Synthetic knot loads and lathers like a champ. I love this setup. Thanks Andrew.
