Feb 13th -- Williams Wednesday!!! My shave today was supposed to be the 4th use of my 1924 Ever-Ready ("Shovel Head"); but something happened to change the schedule....I realized that today I reached the TOST status of "Gem Jr." To celebrate, I am breaking out a relatively new (and thoroughly appropriate) acquisition, a Gem Junior Bar Lather Catcher. I think it's a 1908 (based on the case and my understanding of Waits' Compendium). I'm going to try to keep this short, and just say the shave was amazing!!! I did a standard 2 passes with a light witch hazel touch-up for a nicely close and extraordinarily comfortable shave. Rest assured, I'll have more raving to do about this beauty after I spend more time with it! 1908(?) Gem Junior Bar Lather Catcher | GEM SS PTFE #8 | Modern Williams | Maggard's 28mm Plissoft Beehive | Krampert's Finest Acadian Spice Bay Rum She's a looker!!!

I'm one very happy owner of one of these handles, and now I have a totally unique G1.

Gonna dig the shovelocity head out and use her for shovel head Thursday. Wait, what's that you've never heard of Shovel-head Thursday ? I just made it up, but it totally counts.

Wednesday Feb.13 This push button Gem sure gives a great shave. Bought it at Andrews shave shop and its in perfect condition . Its becoming a favorite for me. Tonight 2 passes on face and 1 on the noggin left me smooth as silk. My gf laughed as i was lathering( yes i do let her in my Den), thats another story for later , anyhow, she says i thought you said people cant make that soap lather . I explained to her that the lather settles down but it still allows the razor to glide smoothly across the skin and thats all that matters. I dont try to whip up buttercream. Looks good in pictures but c'mon, you dont really need to beat the heck out of a soap to make a good lather. A few swirls on the soap then i build it on my face. After i finished the shave , she felt my face and said sure feels soft for using a $2 soap. I explained thats why i keep stock piling it , i like it and I'm afraid they will stop making it . Its cheap and gives me great shaves. And thats my shave story for today. Gem push button Gem SS blade ( new) Williams Dickinson witch hazel Nivea balm

Wed 13th Feb. Omega 11126 boar Williams Mug Soap PAL Injecto-Matic Schick Proline [ 4 ] Williams Aqua Velva A/S Lotion Another Injecto-Matic Shave today, but this one loaded with an AC blade rather than a standard Injector blade. The Shave was smooth and comfortable, slightly more aggressive than yesterday but I had no problems attaining a great close all round finish. It makes sense for me to continue to use these blades in Injectors where they work well, as they are relatively inexpensive compared to Standard blades

Thursday 14th February Semogue 620 - Wild West Shaving 'Bonnie & Clyde’ - Ever Ready 1924 w/Rocnel Handle - Treet Super CS #5 - Alum - Quorum A/S - Dove Nourishing Cream Thanks go to boru62 for gifting me this soap. The scent is described as leather, campfire & wild honey, and that's what I got. It's a soap I wouldn't normally choose, but was pleasantly surprised with the shave. Doesn't the 1924 look good with that handle......

Tabac Thursday's ShaveCold Water Wash Tabac Shaving Soap Jayaruh #353 Damaskeene 1912 Gem Blue Star SE CWR Tabac AS My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Tabac Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #353 Badger/Boar brush. I did two passes with the Damaskeene 1912 razor with a Gem Blue Star SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Schick G4/Route 66 razor Personna 74 blade (day 7) Burma Shave Boar brush Stirling MITA SS Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe Clubman Reserve Brandy Spice A/S
Resuming the Shave of the Week (gotta have a Williams Wednesday!) and all went very well. The little Burma Shave boar brush is a killer. Just the right amount of backbone for me and really soft tip. Like it lots. My face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.

Man, you've had a run of a chorus-line of incredibly "hot" numbers this month... Your shave cave is full of "fold-out" quality razor-babes!!! Whew!!
That E2 is about as pretty as an injector can get, and that GEM Jr. BAR is don't right x-rated...We're gonna have to make you start posting after 11:00, after the uoungsters have gone to sleep...🤣😂😃
