SE Sunday's Shave Cold Water Wash Proraso Sandalwood Jayaruh #353 J.A. Henckels J.A. Henckels wedge CWR Dove Men+Care Post Shave Balm My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Proraso Sandalwood Shave Cream face lathered well with the Jayaruh #353 Badger/Boar brush. I did two passes with the J.A. Henckels Lather Catcher razor with a J.A. Henckels wedge blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Dove Men+Care Post Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

This is a followup on today's shave with the J.A. Henckels wedge safety razor. I want to thank twhite again for putting me on to this razor. He even sharpened the blade for me. I have been going over the shave in my mind today. It was so smooth after the first pass that I almost stopped there. However, I did do the second pass, and I am enjoying the results even after 5 o'clock. The Henckels is a great razor. I now have two. This one, I use with the wedge, and the other with modern SE blades.

I kind of hate posting a really GREAT shave on the last night of the thread, knowing in a matter of hours, it will be obsolete and discontinued! Lol! No one will ever know!...😂🤣 Anyway.... So tonight the MMOC got the nod . Same blade as last 2 shaves so that makes 3 on this blade. Nice lather with the boar and the Williams, 2 passes and I'm darn smooth. Like the shave this razor gives, nice and close. Little splash of AV on top and all is good.

February 15th Great shave today....DFS with 3 passes. I tried a different handle on the Ever-Ready 1924, and it worked well. The extra weight and length from the handle made the razor seem more nimble -- odd as that sounds. It was easy to put on using a 10/32 set screw, and easy to take off. I can't say this (or any other different handle) will replace the original for me. I tend to be a purist with things....if the maker thought that was the handle to use, then I'm inclined to leave it alone, as long as it doesn't diminish my ability to use the razor. That said, I also like being able to "adjust" the shave experience too, so every once in a blue moon I'll probably toss a different one on there, but most of the time it'll be the original. That probably doesn't make a lick of sense to anybody but me! Also tried the Green Mountain Soap from the pass-around. It was a first-use and there is a specific feedback thread, so I've got no comment at this time 1924 Ever-Ready (Aka the "Shovel Head") with a Treet CS blade on its 7th shave Yaqi 26mm Timber Wolf Green Mountain Soap (Green-Vetiver) Krampert's Finest Acadian Spice Bay Rum View AttachmentDuck!!!
