Well, I was looking through Andrew's Shave Shop on Etsy again, and found not only did he have an MMOC for $10, but also sold 10 PTFE blades for $3, so I decided to go ahead and make the jump into the SE world on the deep end! It arrived today and I had one of my best shaves yet! It's not much of a looker, and the TTO mechanism could use some lubrication, but the important thing is it shaves like nothing else I've tried! The "bulldozer" as I call it seriously gave me a DFS in one pass, and was much more forgiving than I expected, even at somewhat steeper angles than are typically recommended. In fact, I am convinced more than ever that an "aggressive" razor is actually more gentle for me than a "mild" one, because it takes less repeated strokes over the same area to remove the same amount of hair. I was looking at that, and should have pulled the trigger! Glad you got it though. Even if I didn't have it in hand, at least I know it went to a good home!

Veddy nice. That is the first one I have seen with the instructions on the cap I think. I have been on the hunt for one of those. Hard to find looks like.

Just won: An MMOC, A 1914 and a Kampfe Star HR-14A if I'm not mistaken. My first Micromatic, my first 1914, my second Kampfe Type HR-14 I didn't expect to win, but it worked out OK. People seem to have problems looking at three razors and coming up with a price for all three. Seller in the UK, so postage divided by three is a steal.

I need to figure out if our vintage Lather Catchers do indeed have Whitworth threads: Metric, Whitworth, BA, UNC and UNF - all bases covered.
