TABAC TUESDAY Razor: Schick Repeating Razor C3 Blade: Chick Brush: B-2 by Tom Soap: Tabac AS: Tabac It has been a while since my last post. But here is tonight’s setup. I took the extra minute to get the Tabac to the perfect consistency for me. Man does it pay off. By the third pass with just a light coating of Tabac. It is slick as gorilla snot. I seem to forget how well the repeaters shave. No drama just smooth sailing. I pray all have a great and safe week. Tom

For the last 2 days as soon as I woke up I had to rush to work. Called in with no notice. Because of that I have not shaved in a few days. I had to fix that tonight. Broke out my travel kit and took a 15min bathroom break. Great shave came around! I gotta remember to pack witch hazel. Gem Jr 1912 (G3) Treet Williams Omega travel brush Aqua Velva Ice Blue. There is a video. I will upload when I get on wifi!!

Tue 19th Feb. RazoRock Syn. 24mm P & B Pall Mall Schick B1 Schick Proline [ 6 ] Floid Vigoroso A/S Lotion. Had a problem free Shave with a C1 yesterday, so decided on a follow up with a B1. Well these "Oldies" must have been used by their original owners as Daily Shavers, they would not have rotated like we do. Anyway the Shave went well after feeling rather harsh on initial clearance passes the Razor settled down. Apart from an area on the Chin the finish was really good, better than the C1and also superior to Shaves with more modern Injectors. Getting a good Shave with one of these older Razors, is much more satisfying than some of the easy Shaves that modern Injectors provide.

Williams Wednesday's ShaveCold Water Wash Williams Mug Shaving Soap Jayaruh #339 Boar Damaskeene OC Gem Glue Star SE CWR Lucky Tiger My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Williams Mug Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #339 Boar brush. I did two passes with the Damaskeene OC razor with a Gem Glue Star SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Lucky Tiger AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

February 20thI'm on soap pass-around duty, so no Williams Wednesday for me . I did load a brand new Gem SS PTFE blade in the old Jr Bar and went to town. Got the closest shave yet, along with the my usual 1st-use irritation that has been a standard with the SS PTFE blades. I never notice anything while I'm shaving, but afterward, it was a nice patch of razor burn right around the old Adams Apple. I actually felt a a sting from my Krampert's Finest Bay Rum, that's how the bad spot was....luckily the sting is brief and an hour later you can barely see any irritation....love that product! Overall, the shave itself was super close and comfortable during (not so much after), but I'm still really loving the Jr. Bar, and Krampert's Finest dealt with the harsh effects of the new blade -- so I can't really complain (although I often do). Here are the details: 1910 Gem Junior Bar | Gem SS/PTFE (1st shave) | Yaqi 26mm Rainbow Synth | Green Mountain Soap (Balsam Spice) | Krampert's Finest Acadian Spice Bay Rum

..For the 1st time in a long time , I'm at a loss for words to describe this shave. After 2 1/2 days of suffering migraine and flu I mowed down the hair and reclaimed my real estate. My first time using a 1914 but wont be my last. Borrowed the handle from the 1912 but gf's Dad and I are going to fire up his lathe and make a new one. I feel like a Champion after that shave!
