Hi there,
It happened the other day that I saw an ad at B&B about an extra rare Schick E5 with black handle. The guy has quoted from the Schick injector page, that E5's are rarely seen with black handles. And he priced accordingly. In the picture we saw clearly a Schick Type G, with Eversharp marking, so no doubt it couldn't be an E5.
Basically I hate when in B/S/T groups with wide audience, typically about smartphones, people comment on the asking price. If you're not interested, then just walk away. And this time it was way less money still, than a price of a cellphone. Still I'm not sure what's more ethical, commenting that this is not that rare and not a Type E5, or just walk away. I could've PM'ed the guy, which I usually do to help correcting mistakes. (A couple of days ago I wrote on ebay to a seller, that the razor he's advertising is not an Urham Uplex but a Durham Duplex.) But the question is if it is better to warn potential buyers, that neither the description nor the price won't match the photo.
What d'ya think?
BR/A.
P.S.: The razor was sold soon.

I've often helped sellers (here and on Ebay) when their listing is obviously incorrect. I approach them as a friend trying to help. The error is usually a lack of knowledge on the seller's part and they're usually grateful for the help.

Sounds to me like the "D" on the first gents ad on Ebay wasn't working.
I've also done as Herm suggests. One can approach to help, and the other way is combative. The 2nd way is far less preferable.

I usually try to be helpful, I will tend to say things like " friend, maybe you should check out this link, or according to what I have read, this may be helpful" I like to leave the links for both parties.

I generally start those conversations with bull feathers. Most are trying to get one over on the crowd. It is not hard to tell a G from a E. He researched enough to know what was rare. He probably knew it was a G. If not I speak up to keep someone who does not know from getting clipped.

It's easy!
