Well I figure everyone knows about TWhite's Gift of finding OC Dammys....And alot of folks here know about how generous Major Tom has been. I know one time he piffed 3 OC D's in 3 days!!๐ณ
So I figured I'd start a thread for it.
Everyone who has recieved one of Tom's Dammys or anyone who wants to post pics of their own are cordially invited to post. Also if Tom should be moved to post pics or stories of his Adventures With the "First Dammys"; In the Wild!
I hope Tom does receive the great Karma which he so deserves...But I also hope this thread doesn't result with him getting buried with PMs for Dammies...LMAO!
I'm afraid that has already happened and he is down to his daily shavers. What a guy I tell you! What a guy!!

I haven't received it yet (I think the Cleveland postal employees must be taking turns using it), but St. Tom sent this one to me from his latest haul. I tried to pay, trade, something, but he'd not hear of it. He is awesomely generous!

Not an OC dammy, but Sir Tom did send me a razor. As stated above, I tried to pay, but would allow either. I won't say what he sent, as it was meant to stay private, but still one that I will never trade nor sell.

Thanks guys. As Bird has stated I am down to my daily OC and one spare if anything happens t the first.
Like I have told a few people. I am blessed to have found so many in the wild. The last 3 I paid $10,$4,&about $6. I have no earthly reason to have so many of these fairly rare razors. I am only doing what others have done for me.
Paying it forward even with a silly an object as a razor. Is a small step in the right direction of self betterment. It really does not hurt to be kind to others.
When I find more OC Dammyโs you can rest assured that they will be passed along. I may trade it out for one of my personal ones if it is in better shape. I am not a complete fool๐

It is a well experienced razor. I hope you have many years of great shaves with it. Tom

Tom has been very generous to me. He is a class act. I only have one OC Dammy, and it is pieced together from either two or three different razors. I got the bottom plate all by itself in a lot. I quickly found parts to make it whole.

I had promised an indepth review... Been too busy...but here are some pics from today's shave and some thoughts.. 1. Main thing...Comfort. I don't know what it is...but this razor feels SOOO mild...BUT, It shaves Soooo efficient! I know, alot of cats have said the samething...ShadowsDad says the same in his original Dammy/1912 dissertation. And this razor definitely has this quality in Spades! 2. I've used it with Carbon and Stainless blades, Williams, Arko, and Gillette Foamy! It always feels effortless and like there is no blade in the razor. In fact...IT ACTUALLY HAPPENED TO ME TODAY!! I stopped mid 1st pass to check and see if there was a blade in it!!! I was using a day one stainless GEM, which can be a tad harsh in a razor THIS EFFICIENT. BUT no...I did stop and look...๐๐คฃ...and After that first pass I had a DFS!. I continued with a second pass and a Fuzzy Pat'd Witch Hazel pass..and ended with that Dolphin smooth thing! 3. This babe is a buffing monster! No Irritation! Buff all you want...Even ATG just for fun!....๐ Anyhow....the more I bond with this sweetie, the more impressed I get with her moves!! I was thinking this morning...maybe I should reward her, with a replate...This is one razor that really deserves to be spoiled. But I sincerly really do dig how she looks.... What do you guys think? Now, after thinking for a minute....I think a replate is definitely out of the question...She's priceless....looking aswell as shaving!.....Besides...I couldn't be without her "ready by the sink" for a day!...lol!!

Sir birdlives to replace that beautiful specimen would be to do her a disservice. Lave her be, and let her fly!

Because of something Shadowsdad/Brian said onetime about rewarding 100 year old razors and preparing them for another 100 years. But I don't think that applies to this lovely!

I agree, the OC is extremely mild. I almost found it too much so. That being said, I found it am enjoyable shave. I only used PTFE blades, so maybe carbon next time.

Brother, I'd replate it if there was a lot of discoloration or just over all wear. She looks like she saw little use in her past life, so use her up, then replate her after you know how she got the wear!

Tom surely did provide me a very solid example of the breed...Thanks St T ! I'm thinking the build quality and probably a serious original plate from the factory. A testament to GEM's quality masterpieces and I do believe, they were looking out for their self-shavers best interests...
