April 9th -- Tuesday's Shave This week I'll be thoroughly enjoying my new Gem Junior Bar handle. I can't get over how nice and natural this handle feels to use. When you combine that with the mild but nicely efficient Gem Junior Bar....the combination is superb. This is a tough week for me work-wise, but these excellent shaves at least get my days started off right! In addition to the aforementioned razor and handle, the remaining items were: Razorock 28mm Plissoft Beehive, lime-vetiver from Green Mountain soap, and Krampert's Finest Acadian Spice Bay Rum

This morning I used T400 brush, PAL adjustable razor, Louise Plegé AS, and a hungarian artisan soap from Balatoni soapworks called White Musk.

Williams Wed- 10th April Simpson Chubby 1/ Maggards 2 band Williams Mug Soap ATT SE-G- modified Gem S/S [ 2 ] Williams Aqua Velva A/S Lotion Have missed the Forum as testing out a Carry On/Travel Razor, which was quite a worthwhile exercise , now back to the proper stuff. The ATT SE-G is nicely weighted for those who like a heftier Razor, and though modified is still quite mild. I rather enjoyed the Shave which was smooth and very non threatening, the finish around the face was excellent, but I still cannot get it quite right around the neck.

Williams Wednesday's ShaveCold Water Rinse Williams Mug Shave Soap Jayaruh #224 Synthetic Gem Gold Feather Weight Gem Stainless CWR PSC Caffeinated AS My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Williams Mug Shave Soap face lathered well with Jayaruh #224 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Gem Gold Feather Weight razor with a vintage Gem Stainless SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with PSC Caffeinated AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Gem Damaskeene razor Gem Blue Star blade FS/WD Boar brush Stirling MITA SS Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe Daxton A/S
The Damaskeene (not an open comb) is very very very mild for me and requires a lot of work to get an acceptable shave. Goes back on the shelf. All the other parts worked well though. Now go enjoy your day folks

Don't know what to say...Just got another one of those, " Best Shaves of Your Life" type shaves...Whew! I know 'His Royal Fuzziness', likes to say, "A razor is a razor and a blade is a blade..'...But when we are using these amazing 100 year old lovelies with GEM blades and Arko or Williams Soap.... Well...lets just say, "The odds of having a GREAT shave, are somewhat in our favour....YOU DIG?!! TODAY'S ZEN SHAVE WAS PROVIDED BY: I tend to overlook my Orig.Wild Child, the 1914....But this was the one that took things to another level for me, a few years ago!! In another time and a land far away!!

Thursday 11th April Yaqi Sagrada Familia - Blue’s Dakar Soap - General Steel - Schick Proline P #7 - Alum - Blue Stratos A/S - Dove Nourishing Cream - Al Rehab 'Dakar’ EDP After seeing a post on a forum about adding an Attar oil to an unscented soap. It piqued my interest. I remember having a full cake of Blue's Goat Milk soap. So I used some Al Rehab 'Dakar’ attar oil to flavour a grated cake of the Blue’s soap. On paper the notes of the oil are: Sage, Amber, Moss, Sandalwood, Agarwood (Oud), Cedar, Spicy. The finished soap was a triumph. And today's shave was marvelous. The lather and slickness were superb. I'm well pleased. I now need some more Blue's soap!!

Thur 11th April RazoRock Syn. 24mm P & B Citra Royale ATT SE-G Gem S/S [ 3 ] Pitralon Classic A/S Lotion Using the ATT again after a better overall Shave. As the ATT despite modifications is still very mild, I think more concentration and more time needs to be spent on dealing with the difficult areas around the neck. Though it took a lot longer than most Shaves I was very pleased at the overall finished Shave quality.
