So here are a couple of shots of what I've been calling an E2 -- for those in tune with the "typing" system -- is it really a Schick E2? Or have I been misidentifying all this time....wouldn't be my first time doing that!!! I can take better (or at least more) photos if mine don't provide enough info. It has a fixed spring with flaps on the spring. The parallel grooves on the safety bar make it an E3 I believe. It is still a great little razor. Thank you sir, I appreciate knowing!

Showing up NOW. Didn't for me at first.
I whole heartedly concur with Sir Jay!
I feel sure that is an E3...Still a wonderful shaver of the E type family. The clues are:
1: parallel grooves on safety bar, means E3 or after. 2: still has 'flaps' on spring which means pre E4!
Congratulations...you are the proud owner of a bouncin baby WWII'ish vintage Schick E3!!

It's (as much as it can be) my Dad's birth year razor (April 1943), and as it's also my first SE, and an excellent shaver, well let's just say this razor will be in my family for a very long time!

I think it's more than safe to make this your Pop's birth year injector!! And what a great razor to have, for a birth year razor!! Veddy Veddy nice! I feel sorry for the millenials....Of course some will have "The Bunny"!!! Our Sir St.Tom has provided some millenials with their only "Get Out of Jail Free" card as far as Birth Year Razors go....lol!
