Who is your printing service? I had these printed by Shapeways.com Not sure where they actually printed them, but arrived quite fast in Germany. HTH godek

Had some spare time this morning and finished putting together the olive one.
I had ordered two parts sets from the professional printing service.
The second set is made of sintered stainless steel. Not so sure this was a good idea, the stuff is heavy. 137g for the three parts without bolt, nut and blade. My PLA version is 21g shavre ready, the profesionally printed one 24g shave ready.
Also the two pins that should fixate the blade are too big on the metal print so it does not hold the blade in position.
I have just ordered better precision metal working tools to finish this next week.

What's the damage of printing it in stainless steel? $150? More? And then you might have to hand-finish the parts. Like the pins. By hand. Steel. A braver man than me.

Both versions together were around 200€ shipped. I have not done anything to the metal version, yet. I'm leaning towards sanding all touching surfaces until the two parts fit together nicely. Then sand the non-working pins out of existence. Perhaps I can then drill holes at the correct pin location and loctite in metal rods to use as blade alignment pins? No access to a drill press at the moment, so just trying to figure the best way of doing this when I regain access to proper tools. br godek

Careful with the Transparent TNNSER I don't know if this is a real concern or if Mr. Murphy took a bite out of my backside... I saw what looked to be a crack and I stupidly flexed it a bit to see. It was a crack and I finished it off. It did not take much pressure at all to crack to the end Now trying to figure out what the best glue would be. Epoxy is probably best given the conditions the razor will be used in, but I'm not sure if it will react with the resin. At this point though, not much left to lose.

I think you win the "first to break one" award. Yes, indeed. And probably the first to botch a fix award as well So, my nephew is getting his masters in engineering focusing on I guess you'd call it materials engineering. Anyway I told him of the TNNSER design and I'm going to have him print me a couple for myself and his dad. (The nephew has got the beard going on.) When I get that done, I'll probably have him print me an extra top and replace the broken one. He said once he gets a look a the plans he'll figure out what material he'll print it in. So no idea if I'll have any choice of colors or whatever.

This material seems to be a bit more fragile than the ABS and ASA.

At this point though, not much left to lose. Nothing that a little epoxy glue and a small clamp can not fix.

You should have seen the clamps on this when it was first glued up
