Saturday Evening Shave (May 4th) This is a new to me British Pal Injecto-matic. A decent shave, but my new British Pal and I are definitely still getting to know each other. Blade was a brand new "chick", also making an appearance was Nivea shave cream and RR 24mm Plissoft brush. Finished with Krampert's Finest Frostbite.

I love my injecto-matic. Shaves better for me than the Schick ones. (Maybe it's just inside my head). The nice is nice, I have the blue tube. Is that the one for "sensitive skin"

I love my injecto-matic. Shaves better for me than the Schick ones. (Maybe it's just inside my head). The nice is nice, I have the blue tube. Is that the one for "sensitive skin" I have high hopes for my new Pal -- especially since I went on a buying spree and will have a total of 6 in my den very soon -- different colors, different countries (GB & USA), and different spring mechanisms. I started doing some exploring of "other" SE types and before I knew it, I was chasing down Pals. In any case, I know today's sub par shave was all technique (or lack thereof) -- I basically had a 5 O'clock shadow after 3 passes and some several bleeders. As for the Nivea, yes it is the one for sensitive skin. I deliberately cropped the pic so you couldn't see the "sensitive skin" words, and I kept my description deliberately vague. Why you may ask? I didn't want to get gored by a Texas longhorn who can be a little um sensitive about the moniker "sensitive skin" . Seriously though, I've used it a few times and it has a high degree of slickness, which I do like; but today the lather really didn't seem very slick at all. It just wasn't my best shave day.....nothing really came together on this one. i had even gotten too much water on my synth and ended up dripping water everywhere.

Sat 4th May Stirling Syn 26mm P & B Spitfire Ever Ready 1914 Gem S/S [ 2 ] P & B Spitfire A/S Splash As an alternative to the 1912 the 1914 is a very smooth Shaver, yet still efficient but forgiving to.Though I like longer Handles I find that I adapt quite easily to use of the 1914, and had a vey rewarding Shave- buffed and ready for a day out.

SE Sunday's ShaveCold Water Rinse Eskimo Tuxedo Jayaruh #360 Synthetic Ever-Ready Lather Catcher Gem Blue Star CS SE CWR Florida Water My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Eskimo Tuxedo Shave Soap face lathered well with Jayaruh #360 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Ever-Ready Lather Catcher razor with a Gem Blue Star CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Wickham 1912 Russian Leather soap followed by Clubman Special Reserve after shave. Back to the Schick that turned me towards SE shaving, and a great 2 band badger brush. I must play with photography to wish using different razors not just my two new favourites. The photos would get boring if I did so. The shaves not.

Sunday 5th May Cadman Custom Synth - Wickham 1912 'Apricus' - Ever Ready 1914 - GEM SSC #10 - Alum - Wickham 1912 'Apricus' ASB First use of my May acquisitions. The Apricus soap and Balm are part of the ATG forum Wickham's LE 2019 group buy The soap was lovely. The scent is a homage to Dior's Eau Savage, and is an absolute delight, with a great citrus/floral hit. What really impressed me was the superb slickness. The 1914 with a GEM blade on it's 10th outing was really efficient, so I'm left extremely clean shaven. Now, I normally finish a shave with an alcohol based AS followed by a moisturiser. So the use of Wickham's ASB turned into a new experience. And I'm delighted. It's very soothing and not at all sticky. The scent is amazing. So overall I'm a really happy chappy.

Sunday Shave! Not the best, not the worst..... Which Stirling soap did you use? Baker Street..... I think I may be allergic to it however. I don't break out, but there is a tingling itch for a few hours after the shave. Which sucks cause I love the smell.
