It is Menthol Monday... But I will be celebrating with an unmentionable, so I will be posting across the street. Haven't used one since last November. I will post here again Thursday with the Starling. I will be checking back each day though to see what is up. Happy shaves y'all.

One more SE from my den. I wanted to go a round day by day with each of the 7 I own, but it's impossible, Asylum and Streamline days follow. And I might post the same photos over and over.

Razor: Valet Autostrop VC1
Blade: GEM Carbon Steel
Soap: Stirling City Slicker
Brush: Maggard 24mm Synthetic
A/S: Witch Hazel, Vintage Avon Spicy Aftershave
I've had this very minty nickel plated Autostrop VC1 for a few months now, just got around to its first use today with a fresh GEM carbon steel blade, which is another first for me with an Autostrop, I always used stainless steel blades in Autostrops before. All was well, 2 pass shave with a little touchup...done. Can't show the AVON Spicy Aftershave since its in an UNMENTIONABLE shaped bottle!

Menthol Monday Razor: Clauss Dollar Razor Blade: Modified Gem CS Brush: Crabtree&Evelyn travel Soap: TSD Sub Zero AS: AQUA VELVA Ice Blue It has been a long time since I have used this razor. I have an original blade that I had stropped. I decided to modify a Gem to see if the Shave was any better. Not so much. It is an ok shave to use Occasionally

May 6th -- 1st Shave with 1904'ish GEM Lather CatcherThis was my first shave with the recent acquisition from dirving79 -- and it was an awesome one!!! I'm currently working on honing the wedge blade per twhite's excellent instructions; but this baby has some really great blade stops, so it was no problem using a GEM SS PTFE. The blade combined with Tabac, my Yaqi synth horsehair rainbow brush (really great knot), and a finish with Krampert's Finest Bay Rum made for an exquisite 3-pass shave. I'll post up some more photos in the TCOC thread, but this shave very much deserved to be in the shave of the day!

Mon 6th May RazoRock Syn. 24mm Cyril Salter Soiid Soap Gem Micromatic - FW/BT Gem S/S [3 ] Massimo Dutti A/S Wanting a no no fuss not going out Shave today, I chose the most modern Micromatic Razor. I have to say that in the past I have not used it much , but the Shave today was a great success. I found it to be very smooth yet efficient, and without any problems got an unexpectedly close all round Shave. For me knocks spots off the Shave that I got with an HFT yesterday,.

First shave with the Eagle Improved Lather Catcher on loan from twhite. A great shave paired with Williams and a boar brush. A splash of Old Spice finished it off.

Using the same gear all week, yes, even Wednesday! This GBar is a good razor, and the stainless blade works well for me. Once it is past it's first shave, it becomes much more smooth. Shave on!
