Saponificio Bignoli "Violetta di Parma" JR 211 Schick J plus Schick Proline B Myrsol Formula C View AttachmentCan you tell me little bit more about soap? It's an italian soap, well, cream actually because it's very soft, made by Saponificio Bignoli in Galliate, in the province of Novara, north-western Italy, not too far from Milan. It has quickly become one of my favourite soaps, it is easy to create a beautiful cream which is very slick and protective, and the post shave feel is outstanding. It is available in the following scents: Neutro (unscented) Young (haven't tried it yet, but I am told is a kinda barbershop frag, similar to TOBS Jermyn St.) Lavanda Balsamica (Balsamic Lavender) Violetta di Parma (Parma Violet) Liquirizia e Menta (Licorice & Mint) Sandalo Indiano (Indian Sandalwood) Mora e Muschio (Blackberry & Musk) Agrumi del Mediterraneo (Mediterranean Citrus Fruit)

5/7/19 Evening Shave
MM Clog Pruf GEM Blue Star blade, new Vulfix # 1 Boar Brush Taylors “Mr. Taylors Shaving Cream” CVS Witch Hazel Stewarts Root Beer
I had ordered some Blue Stars online and I have to say I wasn’t really happy with them. I used to use them a lot a couple of years ago and they seemed a lot smoother and sharper back then. We’ll see how the next shave goes. I also got some Treets in that I will try next. They have been my favorite SE carbon blade. Hopefully they are just as good as the last time I used them. For quite some time my soap/cream inventory had dwindled down to just Williams. I held off buying anything until I went to the BSS, figuring I’d get some samples to try. Well, for the last few days I have been using up the artisan soap samples I picked got there. Now folks, they were nice and performed well but at this point I think I’ll stick to the old stuff. Now, there’s nothing wrong with that artisan soaps and creams, it’s all wonderful stuff. I just prefer the scents and performance of all the old staples. There are a couple of artisan brands that were recommended to me that I will try when I get around to it, but in the meantime its back to basics for me. I guess no new tricks for this old dog. Anyway I went to Rubinov’s to get some Palmolive but they were out so I got some Taylors. It’s kind of heavy for summer but it will do till I round of some cooler Palmolive. Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I didn’t splash the root beer on my face; it was drunk down after the rinse.

Tue 7th May Cyril lSalter /Maseto ED. 2Band P & B Pall Mall ATT Se-G - Modified Gem S/S { 4 } Floid Vigoroso A/S Lotion Was Rather pleased today that finally I have got it right , when working this Razor round the neck. The Shave was smooth and comfortable , with a decent close all round finish. After modifications by a friend this has ceased being a doorstop, and delivers good shaves, not necessarily ultra close but more than passable considering my toughish growth.

I didn’t splash the root beer on my face; it was drunk down after the rinse. Sometimes going back to the basics is good. I am going on a week basis. I use the same gear for 7 days. That helps take human error out of the equation, ateast for me. I like artisan soaps, maybe I got into the shaving game late, but the Staples to me, seem to be almost regaled to a higher status than they should be. Are Williams, Palmolive, Arko, etc good, yes they are, but for a bit more I can get the same performance and get a scent I like. Just my opinion though. YMMV

Still going by the weekly rotation. I see no reason to change it. Go out there and Carpe diem!

5/8/19 Williams Wednesday
Schick E Injector Chick Blade Vulfix # 1 Boar Brush Williams Mug Soap CVS Witch Hazel Chock Full O Nuts coffee brewed in an electric percolator
I really like the E injectors. Some folks find them aggressive but I think as long as you’re paying attention they are fine. The chick blades are pretty good. Not much needs to be said about the Williams. The coffee was superb!

I like mine with a big scoop of Coffee Ice Cream! Far Cooler than any Menthol!😂🤣😃😅
