I just notice some cats have been dropping hints about wanting to have an 'Injector Party'.. Hey I'm into it!! My Schicks been complaining about me not 'Taking Her Out Enough"... So if your Injectors are feeling negleted....Lets Rock an Injector Party...Everyone post lots of pics...and stories....I bet we could have our own Injector Time-line with all you SE cats.... Lets talk it up and ask your Injectors if they'd be interested in some party action....I kinow we got some razors around here who'd dig the action....maybe even a 'Repeater' or two....They are notorious for partying..... So if the interest is there...I'm sure we could find a place around here to do it....Nows the time to speak up and cast your vote....Your injectors will be glad you did...and probably show you a good time...I mean, Shave...

Well, Lloyd, my B1 volunteered to be the first one to pose for the camera. Your B1 is a sexy little beast....The mods might have to hold her pics til after midnight.... Wow...nice Photo....We better turn on the AC...I think it's getting hot in here.... All kidding aside...she is lovely....I think Col. Schick was a genius...That razor was so far ahead of its time...That it's still ahead of this time....Nobody ever caught it....Should have been Buck Roger's razor....I mean you have half your shaving kit in one slim handle.... Too Cool for School...

PARTYYYYY!!!!!!
Sounds like a great idea! I have a Model C that I would like to take to the party, but I am unsure if she is a reliable date?? The C was quite similar to HTs B1 above but with a cap. I believe the blade frames are similar.
I have never taken the wee one out for a try. Can I load up the Model C magazine razor with a new modern blade and just start to party???

You don't have to load the B and C magazine, a single blade can be loaded by just CAREFULLY sliding it in place by hand, unlike the later models that use the key to open the blade area.

And yeah...if the magazine is working at all....it will work with modern blades....Sometimes the magazines break because I believe originally they expected you to change the magazine regularly...But if your magazine hasn't been over-used, I would go for it....but I'll warn you...If it does work...the desire to just start racking blades over and over til a whole mag full is laying on the floor is impossible to resist...resistance is futile...These guys are too much fun...and addicting..and they shave suprisingly great....

My C-types: ;D Now to get around to trying them... Be still my heart... As a fellow TOST-er I would be happy to help you with that task... Man...looks like you hit the 'mother-load'.... Three 'Holy Grails' with each type of safety-bar.... I can't wait to see more pics and hear your evaluation of each....I want to know which ones have a working blade change mechanism....and which safety bar type gives you the best shave....and we need to see photos of the different stages of blade change... And Tom...we need pics of your Repeater in action...and Rocketman...wheres your pics....and lets get that 'c' of yours armed and dangerous....followed by a shave report.... Looks like this party might be getting off the ground.....heh,heh...

I have a question for all you SchickHeads out there!! : )
I have a Model C very much like the middle one in Mr.Flays three pics.
I have the same issue that the middle razor demonstrates - the modern blade does not appear to fit really. It looks like there are blade stops, yet the blade in mine, as in the one in the photo, does not nest in that great. The only way to get any fit is to push the blade towards the back of the frame so it seats against the back. But, it seems short of its goal of fitting in the frame/head to provide a proper gap. The gap is too large to be a proper shaver.
Am I crazy (again)?? Has anyone compared the original mag blades to a modern one to see that they are identical (I haven't any)?
I really want to PARTY but my party shoes don't seem to fit!!! : )

Wayne, here is a shot of my B1 with a modern Schick blade loaded. I just slide it in by hand and make sure it's as far back in the frame as it will go. it works great! It had a couple old blades that were in it when I found this at a flea market, you can see them in the second picture. I can't say exactly how old they are, but I do know they were made prior to 1954 when the Hydro-magic came out because they are solid, they lack the cutouts that were necessary for the HM to work properly. I didn't measure them but I did put one in a modern dispenser and it fit perfectly. The top blade in the picture was broken, the end of it had snapped off at some time. I'd highly recommend you fire that C up and give it a test drive. A member at B&B loaned me one to try for awhile and it was just as good as the B.
