Ehh, as far as unmentionable blades go there is a lot of variety and they all shave differently in my experience...but this isn't the place to discuss the intricacies of unmentionable blade choice. So I'll leave my opinion at that I suppose. I guarantee there would be many more discussions on blade choices here if there were more options available though. That's just my opinion. Get someone to load your razor, see if you can identify the blade without looking. Don't put money on it, you'll lose yer ass. You make a good point.

I notice a bigger difference between unmentionable blades in an unmentionable than I do in a SHADE razor. There is one brand I have that I will not use in an unmentionable. Absolutely feels as if each hair is being plucked out. Break the blade in half and put in my Focus Dynamic and it works beautifully. Every blade I've ever used in the Focus I cannot tell from another I've used in that razor. It's the equalizer.
I think it's everything to do with rigidity. Blade thickness and how it is held play factors there. Not worth going into. I would never claim to be able to identify a blade, but I can tell one I like from one I don't - in some razors.

I'm using the Eco exclusively for my three weeks in Cambodia and Vietnam. I like it alright. Since when did we complain about noise? It does get a bit tuggy ATG on my head but powering through works. I get a very close shave from this thing.
