Oh, the Maison Lambert brush is so nice. Big, soft and a great lather maker - I really like it. All the other parts worked well together and my face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks

That handle looks right at home on that 1914. It certainly does. Mind, I did catch jealous looks from the GEM Junior LC out of the corner of my eye. Thats never good . Mutiny could be in the works . Lol

Getting better with the Autostrop. Been using the Feather stainless blades for a great shave. I used a new old stock valet blade that worked great. I could not believe the time did not dull it.

May 29th Had a full-on newbie shave: Brand new jayaruh brush (JR #270), new TOST soap (@vintagelife), and a new to me Improved Stoll razor with a Treet Carbon blade. The brush is my new favorite -- love the vintage-style handle and synth knot; and the soap is amazing (excellent lather, superb scent and great slickness). The razor, well....let's just say that I'll need more time with it. I'll post a full review of everything as soon as i get more experience with it all -- especially the razor. The final result was a multi-pass shave (3 with the Stoll, and 2 with Brit Pal Injecto-matic).

Wed 29th May The Grosvenor [ 404 mixed ] Williams Mug soap Schick E2 - Canada Schick Single -Japan [ 8 ] Williams Aqua Velva A/S Lotion A good start to this Injector rotation with a new favourite. This E2 is smooth and comfortable during the Shave, but also quite forgiving a word not normally associated with an E2. The finish is as usual very good, though i feel that the blade has past its best.

Tabac Thursday's ShaveCold Water Rinse Tabac Shaving Soap Jayaruh #356 Synthetic AutoStrop B1 Treet SE despined CWR Tabac AS My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Tabac Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #356 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the AutoStrop B1 razor with a Treet SE despined blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

That is one cool razor. Had to look it up. It'll be interesting to hear more. Thanks. It is a very interesting one -- haven't seen much written on this brand or model....it's got an entry on this forum, so I figured I'd tack my thoughts on to it after a few more shaves. It came cased, and I took a bunch of pics, so I'll put those there too. It has a reputation as a mild shaver, and my first shave certainly bares that out. That said, i think if I work on my technique, I can get better results than I did with this first time out.

Squat Head Curved Cap 1912. A little tuggy in a few spots but I suspect mostly due to the head shave just eating these Gem blades. Still a fine shave.
