End of the road for AutoStrop Challenge... Tabac Tuesday's ShaveCold Water Rinse Tabac Shaving Soap Tom's 3D Printed Brush Valet VC4 Valet AutoStrop (27) Enders Speed Shaver Personna Injector CWR Tabac AS My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Tabac Shaving Soap face lathered well with Tom's 3D Printed Brush. I did one pass with the Valet VC4 razor with a Valet AutoStrop SE blade with poor results. I switched over to my Enders Speed Shaver with a Personna blade and ended with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... The AutoStrop Challenge has ended for me with 27 shaves; the last two of which needed an assist. I will be continuing with the Enders for the next three shaves. The AutoStrop Challenge was fun and interesting, but it was beginning to get old. I am glad to finish the challenge. Moving on...

I found that that blade worked best on the older AutoStrops. That's a nice on you got there.

You are proving, that there was "Truth in Advertising" in the case of the Auto-Strop! That is so hip!! Being a huge Auto-Strop and Gaisman fan, this "knocks me out"! When you hit 42, we should have some kind of celebration! What do you guys think?

Last two days I used my A1 with a new GEM SS unstropped and the new SS that I stropped to see if it would soften it up abit...
Hmmm, back to back, I couldn't see a difference...But one thing is above suspicion...I'm getting better shaves with these SS GEMs than I ever did before....Guess I've gotten a handle on using them...Can't say I prefer the carbons anymore...I sincerely LOVE both!
Perhaps I had gotten a little too much Sun.....😳😜🙃😂😂

Hhhhhmmm, the GEM SS that I stopped before using the first time, died during 4th shave.....Maybe stropping it did smooth it out some and in so doing, also diminished it's longevity... I have no idea...I know I'm over thinking this...Maybe stropping the SS blade can mellow those first 2 shaves out a bit...But the real thing is...They shave pretty great anyway...It's kind of a solution to a non-existing proplem... If anyone else is interested...test....and get back to us....This isn't important...but stropping blades, whether we need to or not; is fun! 😛🙃👍 lmao!

Past week I used my Auto-Strop Strop and the stropper handle from my ER Lather Catcher. I put 50 strops on a SS GEM and did back to back comparisons... Results: It did make the first shave more forgiving...meaning, if I did something STUPID it might not burn me...But the unstropped SS GEM was milder because I could 2 finger the razor and it shaved SO clean that if shaving correctly, it was very kind. The stropped blade only gave me 3 great shaves, the unstropped SS, five. BUT...the new unstopped carbon blade was so smooth, there really wasn't any comparison... BBS with absolutely no irritation!! I was using my ER LC...I'm only putting this here, because here is where I started the Stropping SS blade test.... I do believe using the strop on Auto-Strop Blades must make a positive difference because of the amazing results Sir Jay and Dave got are undeniable! So, in retrospect.... wchnu 's post of "Blah Blah Blah" was respectfully, "Right on the Money"....😉
