Williams Wednesday's ShaveCold Water Rinse Williams Mug Shaving Soap The Brush by Tom Gillette Techmatic Techmatic Adjustable CWR Granddad's Blend AS My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Williams Mug Shaving Soap face lathered well with The Brush by Tom. I did two passes with the Gillette Techmatic razor with a Techmatic Adjustable razor band and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Granddad's Blend AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Wed 24th July. Vulfix 404-mixed, " The Grosvenor " Williams Mug soap ER 24 / Windrose handle Gen S/S [ 1 ] Williams Aqua Velva A/S lotion Decided not to push the blade use after yesterday, so today used a fresh one in the 1924. I find that with a non stock handle the 1924 is a really fine Razor, the Shave was smooth and comfortable with a great close all round finish.

Ever Ready 200 Stirling Baker Street Star Jewel Star Wedge My first shave using a properly honed wedge blade. I have a couple of experienced guys who kindly agreed to try honing my wedge blades for me and if the first blade is anything to go by they have done a great job! I have used this razor with a modern Gem previously and although it works it was pretty harsh. With a wedge it is a much smoother experience and a really close shave. I have another blade and a few more to come. I will enjoy trying them out in my other Lather Catchers over the coming weeks

Fri 26th July. Jayaruh No67 Vitos Red croap Occams V2 / No2 plate Schick Proline [ 6 ] Pitralon Classic A/S Lotion I had to abort yesterdays Shave as due to an improperly loaded blade , I managed to get long scratches on my right cheek. I was unsure about shaving today, but decided to try the very forgiving Occams V2, With a good lather I was very pleased that by taking care I was able to shave the damaged cheek to a good standard, without opening up the scratches. I completed the Shave with ease and was very pleased with the overall finish and the fact that I did not miss a Shave. Today has confirmed that though the Occams may look rather odd, in fact for me it is a very good Razor.

Sat 27th July. Cyril Salter/ Maseto ED. 2band P & B Spitfire Occams V2- medium Plate Schick Proline [ 7 ] P & B Spitfire A/S Splash Not wishing to aggravate the self inflicted scratches on my cheek, I had a further Shave withe the Occams. This has to be the perfect Razor who has problematic skin, as it is so forgiving yet delivers really close shaves without the slightest problem.
