Sometimes one makes rather out of character purchases. I am not a fan of the looks of the One Blade Razor, yet I purchased the Occams V2 - perhaps because it takes AC blades which I like. Blade loading is very easy, and the blade is lightly held on two lugs, not locked down like other Razors, some say it floats !! I do not notice. It comes with 3 interchangeable plates, which are secured by screws [Phillips No1 head]. The One fitted is a No2 - medium aggressive. I have used it with Feather Pro/Schick Proline blades, and find it to be extremely smooth and comfortable and delivers ultra close Shaves with no problems. Shave Time to get this finish is quite long as Plate 2 is really quite mild. Despite its odd looks, the Spud Peeler type handle offers a range of grips, and is really good for working ATG and around the neck. I have recently changed the plate to a No3 [ Aggressive], done very easily too. The supplier recommends use of a guarded blade, but I have used a Kai CTM-Pink. There is lots of blade feel on this setting, and my quite strong beard disappears very quickly, leaving me with a Top Class finish. Despite its looks, I am finding that this razor actually Shaves as well if not better than most of the AC/SE Razors that I have used. For those who do not like the heft of some S/S AC/SE this is a good alternative, and IMHO much better than the aluminium models.

I do not think this will be a thing for me. Thanks for the review though.

Looks like a nice razor. Have you used the RazoRock Hawk V2? If so how does this compare?
I like the AC format. Before I got my AC razor I thought the blade would be too wide. It's different, but I don't find it too wide.

I've used this and Hawk V2. Occam shaves much smoother and closer. Of all 4 AC razors I've shaved with, Occam shaves smoothest. (the other razors are Hawk v2, Above the Tie SE1, Colonial general Aluminum.)

Of all AC razors (RR Hawk v2, ATT SE1, CR The General Aluminum) I've shaved with, Occam shaves smoothest. Wich blade do you use? I've set on CR The General Aluminium / Kai Captain Titanium Mild ProTouch. It's my golden standard, at the moment.
