SOTD August 7th Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap EDRIO #102 Schick Mini-Repeater Prototype Personna (?) 30DCLE (26mm, Frigate Class) Stirling Sharp Dressed Man soap and AS Interesting little prototype repeater this morning. The handle is just big enough to hold your standard c-type blade magazine. Put the blade in the magazine and the loading mechanism had no problems racking the blade into the head. Here it is next to a standard size repeater to show scale:

My Williams Wednesday Today!! Thats a diy Williams shave stick in the Old Spice Deoderant dispenser. I'm still infatuated with that BEAUTIFUL white handle Sir Jay made me!! Looks great and really makes that razor, handle like a Sports Car...and it already was a BEST SHAVER AWARD winner!

Thursday's ShaveCold Water Rinse LaToja Shaving Stick Jayaruh #296 Brush Gem Micromatic Bullet Tip CVS CS SE CWR Granddad's Blend My prep was just a cold water rinse. The LaToja Shaving Stick face lathered well with the Jayaruh #296 Brush. I did two passes with the Gem Micromatic Bullet Tip razor with a CVS CS SE Blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Granddad's Blend AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Today and Wednesday I thought since I was enjoying the wedge blades so much and since they fit I would try them out in the Junior Bar and ER 1913ish. Although they were designed to take flat blade the shaves were excellent!

August 8thOnly my 3rd shave with Lt. Colonel Schick's original Magazine Repeating Razor (aka Schick Type A), but every single shave from the first to this third has been incredible. Today it was an easy 2-pass shave with a clean-up pass that I could've easily skipped, but I just didn't want to stop shaving. The result is an easily "caught baby". I love my other Schicks, but this one hits that sweet-spot of mild/easy to use, smooth shaving and REALLY nicely efficient. The only other razor that falls into that "perfection" zone for me is the OC Dammy. This razor is sporting a hand-loaded Schick Proline B on it's 3rd shave. I don't have a blade "magazine", and I'm missing my top cap ; but other than some missing parts, this razor is officially in my Top 3, and ranks as #1 in my stable of Schicks. Here is the obligatory pic and for completeness the other players were: Stirling MITA, Razorock 24mm Plissoft, Thayers Rose Witch Hazel, and Krampert's Finest Frostbite -- I was in a menthol-mood, what can I say?

Thur 8th August. Omega 11126boar Cyril Salter Solid Soap Occams V2- No3 Plate Kai CTM-Pink [ 4 ] Pitralon Polar A/S Lotion Though I prefer heavier Razors, I am rather taken aback at the performance of this lightweight and odd looking Razor. However, it handles very nicely and I have no problems getting a quick and top class Shave on plate NO3 even with the mild blade.

Across the street we are doing a pass around box, this shave was with some of those items. I'll be keeping the razor, and the soap, possibly the bowl, but the others go down the line! Great shave and the scent in this soap is fantastic!

Fri 9th August. Jayaruh No67 Syn. MWF PAA Starling V2- Open Comb Gem S/S [ 2 ] Pitralon Classic A/S Lotion I made sure the blade was located and secured properly, as last time was a disaster as I failed to do it properly. This Razor is definitely quite aggressive compared to the Micromatic and the likes of an ER 1924, which some folks think are aggressive. Care was needed during the Shave, which was completed without any problems. The Overall quality of finish was quite good and better than that I get from a G Type or Push Button. IMHO the Starling is no Match for some of my Vintage SEs, which are nicer to use and produce better results.
