Menthol Monday's ShaveSchicktember 9Cold Water Rinse Ingram Shave Cream Jayaruh #206 Dad's Schick E3 Personna Injector CWR Osage Rub My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Ingram Shave Cream face lathered well with the Jayaruh #206 Brush. I did two passes with Dad's Schick E3 razor with a Personna Injector Blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Squat head vs Squat head. Ok I guess maybe my memory was off, the curved top did seem more bladey -- and a bit more tuggy ATG on my head -- than the flat top.

Mon 9th Sept. Cyril Salter / Maseto ED.2band Vitos Super Red Occams V2/ No3 plate Feather Proguard [ 5 ] Jaguar Prestige A/S Lotion Did a repeat with the Occams today, as I wanted a good fuss free Shave. The Razor is on its most aggressive plate [3 dot] and I am using a Proguard which works very well in it. There is a nice degree of blade feel and it feels as though whatever errors you made they would be forgiven. It is very easy to get a nice close Shave with the Occams and in quite a speedy manner too. It is so good that I am thinking about taking it on holiday later this month.

Sept 9th & 10th -- I started this shave late on the 9th and finished it early on the 10th. I absolutely love Lather Catcher's and this is a great one -- GEM 1903/04. I have the full set (case, strop and wedge blade), but it was late and I felt like a nice wooden handle and a modern blade, so I popped on a jayaruh handle and a unmodified/unshimmed plain ol' GEM SS PTFE blade on it's 3rd shave. The result was a comfortable two-pass shave and a smooth face. I also have to mention the brush. I've been a synth-only guy since I started, and I recently picked up this Omega 10777 Boar for under $4 at Pasteur's Pharmacy in NYC. I've been curious about boars, and the price was right. I don't want to make this post any longer than it already is, so I'll just say that I love it!!! The soap was Haslinger's Honig and the finish was Thayer's Rose Witch Hazel.

Tuesday's shave: Soap: Hitton Donkey Milk Razor: RazoRock Hawk V2 Blade: Schick Proline Brush: Simpson Wee Scot Lots of change today. First use with this blade, brush and soap. Tomorrow I will likely use a different razor to see what difference I get. The soap shaves well, but is not a stable lather - a generally accepted criticism of it. But it gives glide and that is what I like. The Hawk razor is much more efficient than the OneBlade. Good and bad. The good is that for some parts of my face one WTG pass is sufficient. The bad is that I need to be careful not to chase the baby because it's easy to end up with irritation on my neck. Overall I think the Proline may be a hair smoother than the Feather or Kai blades, but I changed to many variables today to say that with any great confidence. In the spirit of international friendship, tomorrow, I will introduce the Wee Scott to Williams.
