TNNSER/Enders Speed Enders is considerably more nimble, and my preference for the Proline blade make it the favorite here but the TNNSER is still great fun.

First time using my GEM 1912 Brass. Had a lot of irritation on my neck, but have since learned that I should have palm-stropped or corked the blade before using it. Instead I neck-stropped and ended up with a fiery razor burn on my neck. My initial response was to shelve the razor, but in hindsight, I'm going to put it aside for a few days and give it another shot. I've received a lot of great technique advice, and will be applying it on my next shave with this razor.
Razor: GEM Brass 1912 30's era Blade: Pella PTFE
Brush: Jayaruh Custom Pre-shave: Cold water rinse with L'Occitane Glycerine soap Cream: Palmolive Post-shave: Thayers Witch Hazel with Lavender and Aloe

A fine late Saturday shave. Razor: RazoRock Hawk V2 Soap: Mike's Natural Soaps in the Orange, Cedarwood, Black Pepper Brush: Omega Boar AS: Aqua Velva I think I need to keep my eye out for Old Spice mugs. They, in my opinion, are the best mugs for a puck of soap. They are not as deep as many other mugs, so the brush has more freedom to angle to and fro without bumping into the sides. My Marvy mug and Surrey mugs while nice just aren't as functional to me. As far as the soap, some folks complain that Mike's doesn't lather that well. Well, to me it lathers quite easily. Load a drier brush until you get paste, take it to the face and then add a little water until you get what you like. I think this is my third shave with the proline blade and it was a smooth one. I think the first shave with it was a burner for two reasons. 1. The blade may need a shave under it's belt to be at it's best. 2. I had just come from a long stint of One Blade use. You can and really do need to use some pressure with the One Blade to get the best shaves. I probably used too much pressure without realizing it. Couple that with a brand new blade and like the workout people like to say "feel the burn!". I'm too quickly bored to get on one razor, one soap, one brush for long lengths of time, but I do see that my shaves, while certainly not bad now, would be even better. But then maybe at the expense of the fun of not deciding what to use until the last minute. Happy Saturday, all. or y'all for those of you further South.

SE Sunday's ShaveCold Water Rinse De Vergulde Hand Shaving Soap Jayaruh #206 Henckels Rapide Gem CS SE CWR Cella After Shave Balm My prep was just a cold water rinse. The De Vergulde Hand Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #206 Brush. I did two passes with the Henckels Rapide razor with a Gem CS SE Blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Cella After Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Sunday Shave. Stirling Syn. 26mm P & B Pall Mall Occams V2 /No3 Plate Feather Proguard [ 7 ] Floid Vigoroso A/S Lotion Though the blade is on its 7th outing, the Razor/Blade combo is still very efficient yet forgiving. I was able without difficulty to clear the stubble from all areas , attaining a super close all round finish.
