Went rather Italian on today’s shave The razor, soap and brush were from Italy. It was a nice shave. What I’m finding with the Focus razor is that all blades feel about the same which for me is not always the case when they are used in their intended unmentioned razors. In the case of the Focus the blade is clamped so securely and there isn’t much freedom of angle, essentially not much can go wrong. If I were to fault this razor it would be on the messing around breaking blades bit. I’d rather use a stock blade rather than breaking one. But I cannot complain about the quality of the shave.

28/10/2019 Pre: Pears Transparent Original Brush: Yaqi Rainbow Faux Horsehair Soap: Arran Lochranza Razor: Supply V2 Custom 2-dot plate Blade: Personna (4) Post shave: Alum Block, cold water splash, Homemade Orange & Neroli astringent Balm: Bart's Balm Cinnamon & Patchouli Lotion & Arran Lochranza Balm Aftershave: Arran Lochranza I have had some issues when learning with this razor, ie, a blunt new blade, finding the correct plate and then shave angle. i am now 12 shaves in with it and things are coming together. Today was a perfect shave, 3 passes for a BBS finish. I have been using the Arran products this week and they work very well for me. Have a great evening All

Monday OCtober 28 I honed up one of my Henckels wedge blades over the weekend so I wanted to try it out on one my Henckels Rapide's for today's shave. Bowl/Scuttle - GP12 Soap - MWF (it's Monday) Brush - Alpha Titanium Outlaw Fanchurian Blade - Henckels wedge (1) Razor - Henckels Rapide Post Shave - OSMA Pierre alum, Clubman Reserve Whiskey Woods Shave rating 4 of 5 I'm working on my honing skill and technique. I'm not good yet. I haven't shaved since Thursday, I honed the wedge on Friday and wanted a few days growth before I shaved with the wedge. Today I did a 2 pass shave. First pass WTG I felt some tugging so my honing job was not good enough. Aside from the tugging, the first pass results were ok. The second pass was XTG and was a surprisingly smooth shave and results were surprisingly good, DFS overall with some BBS areas on my cheeks down to my jawline. So my honing is getting better but is not quite good enough yet. The MWF provided a nice slick lather for my face. Aside from the tugging, I got a 2 pass, nick and weeper free shave. The alum was almost silent, just a couple small areas of noise. I finished off with the Clubman Whiskey Woods A/S. Overall, an pretty good shave. I think it's time to break out a couple of my current OC razors for the rest of OCtober. Happy OCtober and great shaves everyone.

Mon 28th Oct. RazoRock Syn. 24mm P & B Pall Mall Mongoose B3 Feather Proguard [4] Massimo Dutti A/S Lotion Today I shifted the on the go Proguard to the Mongoose. An easy relaxed Shave with excellent results on the face, but not quite there around the neck so need to get that right. Will move the blade along tomorrow to see how it fares in other Razors.

Another great TNNSER shave today. Efficient and mild for me. Two passes and touch ups.
