Wednesday 30th October Alpha Outlaw - Williams mug soap - RazoRock ECO - ½ Shark Super Stainless - Alum - Electrif's Bay Rum - Aloe Vera Gel On a generous loan from Brian culcreuch. I used a fresh ½ Shark blade as I've had good shaves with them in the past with the Rocnel. To be honest it was a fair shave, with 3 passes. Nothing really to shout about. In fact my face does feel rather tender post shave. Hoping for better results next time.

I do think it is very fussy regarding the blade you use.

Thursday 30th October Clubman Shave Butter (Pre Shave) OSP Orange and Patchouli Shaving Soap JR 128 Synthetic Shaving Brush TNNSER 3D Razor with a GEM SS PTFE Blade (#8) Thayers Witch Hazel with Cucumber Aloe Vera Gel Pashana AS This Razor/Blade combination keeps on delivering. It was more of a DFS+ today so I think I may have to up the number of passes to 3 for tomorrow. Normally I change a GEM blade after 5 shaves but I am curious as to how far I can push it.

Williams Wednesday's ShaveCold Water Rinse Williams Mug Shave Soap The Brush B-3 by Tom TNNSER 3D Green/Black CVS CS SE CWR Barbasol AS My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Williams Mug Shave Soap face lathered well with the Tom's The Brush B-3 Brush (I love this brush twhite). I did two passes and a cleanup with the TNNSER 3D Green/Black razor with a CVS CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Barbasol AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

30/10/2019 Pre: Pears Transparent Original Brush: Yaqi Rainbow Faux Horsehair Soap: Arran Machrie Razor: Colonial SS General V2 Blade: Feather PB (11) Post shave: Alum Block, cold water splash, Homemade Astringent with added essential oils Balm: Bart's Balm Amber and Moroccan Jasmine Lotion & Arran Machrie Balm Aftershave: Arran Machrie Another fantastic shave today, I usually face lather with the faux horsey Yaqi, however, today i bowl lathered in my little Turkish copper bowl. I could not keep the lather in there, lots of lovely lightly scented goodness. 3 passes today for the required finish and i am starting to hear the bristles being cut on the ATG pass, its still very smooth though. I will chance 1 more shave with the blade tomorrow. So, Cue ball smooth, feeling and smelling just dandy. Have a great evening All

Soap: Zartgefuhl Prinz Charming Razor: Focus R48 Brush: Jayaruh 210 Balm: Castle and Forbes A nice shave, but I spend about twice as long with the Focus as the TNNSER because the TNNSER is that much more efficient.

Phoenix & Beau | Specialist Cadman-Beau | Synthetic Ever-Ready SE | Gem PTFE Ah, Specialist. I've literally been waiting a year for this to come to fruition. Having been a fan of Phoenix & Beau's soaps for a while, now, Specialist has to be my most anticipated flavor. Last November, included with my Cadman-Beau brush shipment was a surprise sneak peak at this unique fragrance. From there began my personal campaign---also known as nagging---to get Specialist stateside. This is an intoxicating fragrance to say the least. The remnant of my sample resides on my dresser, and I take a hit a least a couple times per week. The documented notes are vanilla, vetiver, malt whiskey, hops, barley, and tobacco leaf. I know, I said unique, but that line-up isn't particularly foreign to the wet shaving artisan world, yet the sum of the parts is something I have never had in my den. One might expect this to be a rather boozy accord, and there wouldn't be a thing wrong with that, but it doesn't entirely invest in that direction. Specialist certainly opens with a sweet vanilla cognac that's immediately reigned in by a deep smoky musk and earth. The barley and hops are distinctly present, but instead of imparting beer, they lean into the vetiver resulting in a more vegetation and grain iteration. Meanwhile, the musky vanilla and cognac crescendo to something akin to patchouli, but with a modicum of sophistication. Patchouli isn't a documented note, but I can't deny it's influence. As beautiful as this opening and mid are, I probably enjoy the dry down the most. The vanilla becomes more malty and creamy and continues its dance with the smoky vegetation and toasted grain, but this moderates and allows the rich fresh green tobacco to drift in. Specialist is brazen, but it's not offensive. That said, it probably lends more to a casual or date night fragrance as opposed to stifling professional occasions. This was worth the wait, and I'm so grateful to West Coast Shaving and Phoenix & Beau for working out a way for the US to have access not only to these wonderfully performing soaps, but also the paired alcohol-based splashes. DISCLOSURE: I purchased this Phoenix & Beau Specialist soap and splash set for retail price directly from West Coast Shaving. I received no gifts or other incentives in exchange for my comments.

Williams Wednesday-30th Oct. The Grosvenor [ 404-mixed ] Williams Mug soap Claymore V1 / Ikon handle Feather Proguard [ 6 ] Jaguar Prestige A/S Lotion I used the Proguard in the Claymore for the first time today. I have already tried it in different Razors, and it has provided me with really comfortable Shaves in all of them, the finish attained being satisfyingly close all round. I am very impressed with this rather little heard of Razor blade, which certainly works well for me as a daily Shaver with quite a strong beard.
